Really nice staff. Seriously these ladies were so friendly and not at all nosy. So many baby/​mother oriented things can be so judgey…
Had a fun time browsing, some really interesting stuff you won’t find elsewhere at traditional baby stores… worth popping in even if you just want a fun swaddle or new toy.
There was also a breast feeding info session in the back when I walked in. Had no interest in joining but it’s nice that they offer those sorts of things.

Was looking for a place to get my daughter an amber necklace and came across Soft and Cozy baby. Since my world is now shopping for my daughter was excited to find a baby boutique that I didn’t realize existed in Hampden.
They have a great selection of toys, bibs, clothes and baby gear and accessories. They have all the good strollers that you can try out, baby carriers that you can try on and lots of wonderful baby products. They have a rewards program and are super helpful! Shop local! :)

I walked in to Soft and Cozy with my mother for the first time today with questions about cloth diapering. I am currently pregnant with twins and am planning to use cloth to save money. We were immediately greeted by an extremely friendly saleswoman who not only answered my questions, she offered suggestions, showed me different brands, and informed me of the cloth diapering classes. She definitely is an expert. Before coming to Soft and Cozy, I was very nervous about cloth diapering, but now I know I can do it and have support at the store.
While I was there, she also told me about the breast feeding support group. A frequent member of the group happened to walk in and told me about her friend who also nursed with twins (and survived. LOL). It seems that not only the sales people but also customers really love helping women, babies, and families.
I will certainly be going back to Soft and Cozy for all my babies’ needs (natural products, Baby Jogger stroller supplies, diapers). It’s a beautiful store and the customer service is extraordinary.

Incredible resource and store for new moms, great for all baby things, I go there all the time! They have bath products, teething, eating stuff, baby carriers. An amazing place. have cloth diapers too. I found the workshops like baby wearing and their products and people who work there incredibly helpful. I bought bath soap there, organic and other organic products, they are generous with advice. Love it!!!

Great collection of diaper covers to use with the prefolds I get from Greenspring Diaper service. When I tried to buy some new covers, the owner steered me over to the clearance rack to check out similar items, saving me a lot of money. I wish I had known about their classes when I was pregnant and clueless.

Never EVER again will I EVER walk into Babies R US. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. But, this is a review of Soft and Cozy Baby, which is a true breath of fresh air. Whether you’re looking for a stroller, baby sling, natural sunscreen, or cloth diapers, you will be met with very personal and caring service.
This is a large (for Hampden, anyway), clean, beautiful, friendly, welcoming store. All of the women who work here (babies strapped on!) are helpful, knowledgeable, and just really calm and nice. They make you feel good.
You can also feel good about the things you’re buying here, as they try to be as natural as possible.
The store is filled with hard-​to-​find natural brands. You can find healthy, well-​made, quality toys here, too. There is a lovely area in the back for nursing where they also have various classes on things like cloth diapering and baby wearing.
I always find the best gifts here, too– whether it’s a set of biodegradable beach toys, a lullaby CD of Beatles songs, or a book called ‘Goodnight Maryland.” Just ask and they will put your gift in a recycled gift bag. Poof! Your gift is wrapped and ready to go.
Thank goodness for Soft and Cozy Baby; I will never again step foot in a ‘corporate’ baby store that has no real regard for how things are made or how to treat customers.

We visited the shop for the first time today in search of Country Fresh detergent. I was blown away by the size and cleanliness of the store. It is very well organized and there is so much variety. I was instantly greeted by Crystal and her sweet boy and before jumping into business she asked about my son… so kind. She showed me to the detergents and answered all my questions. Once Melinda finished on the phone, she jumped in and was also very helpful. She remembered I had called the other day and made sure someone called me back. Both ladies were so friendly and warm and willing to help. My wonderful experience definitely made the drive worth it! We will return.

This is by far the best baby store in Baltimore. They have an excellent selection of cloth diapers, baby legwarmers, baby carriers, nursing supplies, toys and teething supplies etc. They are very knowledgeable and are interested in not just profit margins but in empowering women. They have multiple classes to help new and expectant mothers including bradley birth method classes, classes on baby wearing, cloth diapering, etc. I attended the cloth diapering class and found it to be invaluable. I wanted to cloth diaper but was having trouble wading through all of the options out there. They explained everything and made the process easy. They also have mom’s groups where new mom’s can get out of the house with their babies and meet with other moms. Their store is breastfeeding friendly and is warm and welcoming. As a new mom it gave me so much comfort to know that when I had a question about my son I could go to the mom’s group and get advice from other women going through the same thing. All of the women that work there are moms so even if the mom’s group isn’t going on, you can always ask the staff. I think I would have had much more trouble breastfeeding if it hadn’t been for Soft and Cozy Baby. What a great store. I highly recommend it for all new and expectant mothers or for anyone wanting to get a gift for a friend with a new baby.

This store is great for an natural baby and cloth diaper needs. I’m disappointed that it’s not open on Saturday because that’s usually the day that I’m out running errands. I had a bad experience with the owner about a return a couple of years ago but I’ve been in since and the staff is very nice and helpful.

Only place I know of in Baltimore retailing numerous brands of cloth diapers, baby carriers, and natural products. Excellent selection in this quaint shop owned by a midwife I believe. They offer workshops on babywearing, breast feeding and cloth diapering. what could be better? Very hard to find brands and products such as fuzzibunz, bun genius, and happy heineez (sp?). I almost lost my mind in wonderment from all the great baby things I can’t find at most other baby boutiques in the city. I am a regular customer after stumbling on SACB from a google search yay!
