I took SuperShuttle twice last week in Baltimore and was very happy with both experiences. I was a little concerned about my shuttle back TO the airport because I wasn’t going to be picked up at a hotel but the driver was there exactly on time — to the minute. I would definitely use SuperShuttle again.

I used SuperShuttle for the first time to BWI. The trip to the airport was fine. The driver was on time and pleasant and the van was clean. The return was a different story. I confirmed airport arrival as instructed. When I arrived at the pickup location in front of the airport, I was told the driver was 10 – 12 minutes away. Disappointed that the shuttle wasn’t already there, but 10 minutes wasn’t a deal breaker. Well…25 minutes later… still no van. I was then told the van was 5 minutes away… didn’t happen. Finally, the van arrived after waiting 45 minutes. The driver offered no apology — actually he didn’t speak at all. No customer service whatsoever. I could have driven myself home in half the time that it took for the van to just arrive at the airport. This was a horrible first experience and great inconvenience.

Booked in advance, called to confirm, and yet I still had to wait an HOUR before the shuttle arrived at BWI. Not super; it’s a shuttle though. Happy I did not purchase a round trip voucher.

My flight was delayed and hence I missed my second flight to Baltimore. Called the customer service right after I receive my newly issued ticket. But they are unwilling to make a new reservation for me without me paying for my fare AGAIN! And I was told that they won’t be able to pick me up at the time I arrive, I may have to wait for an unknown amount of time («Just call when you arrive and we will see how long it takes depending on other flights!») Seriously?! I could have just taken the lightrail for 1.70 without any of this hassle, or even Über, for less than $ 15 (instead of being rudely treated with absolutely no respect AND paying more for no value!)

Two stars is more than fair. You arrive at 3:00 let’s say, guaranteed wait of at least 30 min before they even arrive. Arrived at my destination around 4:15; it was only 15 min away. They wait to fill the van.
Drivers are usually professional and courteous.
Great for pickup from somewhere TO the airport, but not the other way. Get a cab or über that shit!

DO NOT RIDE WITH SUPER SHUTTLE! Honestly this was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life with a shuttle service. The shuttle was 45 minutes late to pick me up from Fort Lauderdale airport, then DROVE RIGHT BY ME. I ordered an Über, which arrived in 5 minutes and actually picked me up.
Über is less expensive than SuperShuttle and way more efficient. Never again.

I have taken super shuttle between inner harbor and BWI about 4 times. Once before an evening trip downtown, I waited at the super shuttle area for 45 minutes. On an early morning trip to BWI, the van was 20 minutes late outside of my pickup window and still way out in the suburbs judging by their map. I needed to cancel — otherwise I would have missed my flight. For their level of reliability, this service should not be $ 23. It is worth it to pay the extra $ 10 for a cab. I gave it a star because of their customer service, which has been OK about cancellations and refunds, but making travel plans involving this company has been a disaster. If you don’t want to add stress to your trip, avoid super shuttle.

Supershuttle is not a reliable option for Baltimore Airport, especially because there is no one to man the booth at the airport or take calls in case your flight gets delayed. This happened to me recently and I notified them about a possible delay, but when I finally reached I could not locate the shuttle and no one was available at the helpline number. I ended up taking another cab which cost me a fortune due to the last minute reservation. On calling for a refund and feedback, I was quickly told that the money will be refunded– the man on the phone was not at all interested in feedback. I thought that the reliability and over confidence was awful and will never take a supershuttle again.

Never again. Arrived at the airport at 12:15, made it to my destination at 3. The destination is only thirty minutes away from the airport. That’s an additional ALMOST THREE hours of transportation time, AND it cost as much as an Über or Lyft to take, AND I had to share with seven others.
Never, ever, ever, again.
The personal service was fine, but who cares at this point?

Never had a problem. Always dependable and courteous. I considered Über and Lyft, but as I had a plane to catch, went for the one with a longer service record. Will continue to use for a lift to the airport I can count on.

Super slow, super expensive. I took one of this from Miami airport to Ft lauderdale. It took me 45 mins the wait. It costed me 55dols when the normal ride is 35. I didn’t know about the trail rail, Next time I will get it.

I am never, ever, EVER using this service again. I had booked and prepaid for a shuttle to get me from my hostel in San Fransisco to the airport because I was leaving at like 5am and I couldn’t book from anyone else.
Now right up front, I admit that I had given them the wrong address by accident, but that doesn’t excuse the service I got. The shuttle was half an hour late (inexcusable when trying to get to an airport), and I had to play phone trees with people just to get a human being on the phone.
Of course, when I realize my mistake, I asked if they could just send the shuttle to the hostel as the original location was not far. I was basically told to rebook. Now at this point, I was out of money and couldn’t afford to rebook so I asked for a refund so I COULD rebook.
I was told «Tough luck» and wound up having to get a Lyft I couldn’t afford just so I could get home.
Don’t waste your money with these people. Use Über, Lyft or even Go Lorries.

What an awful experience dealing with these people.
They left my family sitting at the airport for over an hour. They got the phone reservation incorrect, they overbilled me. They even tried tacking on an extra person to my party. I finally had to walk away and fight to get a refund, which I still have not received 55 days later.
Read the negative reviews of this company before you book travel with these people.
If I could give them zero stars I would.

I think the service has exceeded my expectations every time. I have used them every 2 weeks for the past 2 months to take me from Silver Spring to BWI. The driver is on time every single time. I am sent a text message with a link so that I can track the shuttle — which is awesome and the driver calls when he’s outside.
As expected he has 2 – 3 other passengers to pick up which we end up driving around for but I end up getting to the airport way ahead of time.
Given that my flights are the 6am out BWI I’m not sure what the service is like in rush hour times or from the airport to home.
But definitely if you need to get to that early morning flight at BWI from DC area — I would highly recommend it.

Wife and I rode from BWI to Cheverly, MD. We shared a super shuttle with only one other passenger. Our driver drove incredibly unsafely– we were very scared on numerous occasions. For example, our driver’s navigation seemed to have turn by turn auditory directions disabled. Therefore, he was simply looking at the tiny Garmin screen every few seconds. On 5 – 6 occasions he missed our exit or street. Okay… but WAIT. He then stopped the car on the side of the interstate and attempted to put it in reverse to get back to the exit he missed. WHAT??? He did this twice and had us all on the edge of our seats. His normal driving consisted of flooring the accelerator and then slamming on the brakes– nearly rear-​ending a few cars. 10 missed turns later, we arrived at our residence and kissed the ground.
**UPDATE** Sent this experience to customer service and they issued a refund for the trip. So I’ve got that going for me.

I was disappointed with my pick up experience from my apartment because I was not notified that the shuttle to the airport was running late. Even though I was ready by the scheduled time I had to wait till the driver arrived 30 minutes after the allotted time. Fortunately I was able to view the shuttle’s drive so I knew it was on its way.
I was satisfied with my pick up experience from the airport because I was picked up shortly after checking in via the hyperlink that was texted to me shortly upon my flights arrival. I was the second person to be dropped off from the airport so I didn’t have a long ride home.
I regret getting a shuttle only because we experienced traffic and I was impatient to get home. If you don’t have another mode of transportation then I recommend Super Shuttle because they have been reliable in picking me up and this is the third time I’ve used them.
Also gratuity isn’t included so you will need cash if you’d like to tip the driver.

Unfortunately, if you land at BWI after midnight and live in DC and you don’t have a car, this is the most cost-​effective way to go. So I am glad the service exists but my oh my, is there room for improvement.
I guess they were experiencing long wait times today, and the agent at the counter kept loudly complaining about how rude customers had been all day. I felt for her because it sucks to be the messenger that everyone wants to shoot (figuratively, of course), but I got it after the first 10 times she said something. She was otherwise very polite.
I fault Super Shuttle for 1) not assigning a second agent during a busy travel time because she was clearly overwhelmed, 2) for not giving her whatever tools she needed to feel empowered and not spend the whole night blame-​shifting, and 3) for not dealing with whatever was causing the problem. I don’t know what was going on, but people were waiting for over an hour.
After I was told that the wait time would be an hour or less, I waited «only» 45 minutes, which, all things considered, wasn’t too bad. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have waited for that long, which is why I typically book daytime flights. (Except this time – surprise! – U.S. Airways switched my flight. That’s going to be a whole other review…)
The tipping system is not great. The drivers’ attitudes are sometimes good, sometimes surly, sometimes meh, and I wonder if their hourly wage is low so they rely on the tips. As we have just discussed, things can often go very wrong, so people aren’t going to want to tip the driver well, which leads to grumpier drivers, which leads to even lower tips, and, well, you get the point. And yet, the tips aren’t worked into the fare and the vans advertise that you should tip. Standard industry practice? Yes. Stupid system? In my opinion, yes.
The odd thing is that the company seems super interested in feedback. I would be curious to see how they’re using it to actually implement changes, because so far, I haven’t noticed any. They’re sort of at the mercy of the airlines, which are horrendous, and it’s got to be challenging to offer shared-​van service to an entire gigantic country, but they could do better.
That being said, they got me to my door, and I was the second one dropped off in a full van, so I can only complain so much.

Two trips ago, I opted for SuperShuttle instead of driving and parking myself, or taking a cab or getting a ride to BWI. The driver was late, I nearly missed my flight, and there was no apology or explanation or recompense made at all. Because I pre-​paid (both fare and tip), I figured I’d chalk it up to experience and maybe let this one slide as an anomaly.
This past trip, though, we booked the van weeks in advance, but not with the gratuity this time. Figured I’d tip based on performance, but I still had to pay for the shuttle in advance. Whatever, no big deal. Much to our chagrin, when we landed and retrieved our luggage, we were then told that it would be at least an hour wait for the next shuttle. «Wait, what? There are two shuttle sitting outside, I can see them from here. Why is there a wait?» The reply: «we’re waiting for other passengers for ride-​sharing.»
Okay, idiot, you could have had us home and back in less than an hour. It’s appalling to make us wait just to save on a trip or gas or whatever. What’s more, if you’d been up front about that when we booked, maybe we would have been okay with that, or maybe we would have booked through another ride service, but we would at least have known ahead of time!
Final straw, the representative was flippant about our circumstance. He said he would take a cab instead if he were in our position. Fine, then that’s what we’ll do going forward. That’s the last time I use their services voluntarily.
