The ambience of The Laughing Pint is «perfect neighborhood bar» Good sized bar and modest-sized but sufficient tables to sit at for conversation. They have a shuffleboard table as well as a pool table that concerts for ping pong. The selection of draft beers covers the basics and there’s Natty Boh. In addition to very tasty and generous potato wedges, they have some good burgers coming out of the kitchen. There’s one with peanut butter and sesame garlic sauce– I got mine cooked perfectly to order and requested it with havarti but to hold the PB the flavor was amazing. I mean juicy, full, and emotionally uplifting. The owner is gracious and the cordial staff hardworking for you. You can feel their passion to serve.

This is a good place for regulars. Great food. Great people. Great beer. Space can be scarce depending on the night, but it’s worth it.

This is a great little neighborhood bar! They have a decent selection of craft beers on tap. There also usually have a couple of local, seasonal beers. The menu is short and sweet. I have had and enjoyed the burger on several occasions. The wings are ok. But that might be because I have never been too fond of oven baked wings. They usually have some kind of food special on weekdays. However I am not too sure what they all are. I do know that Tuesdays are taco nights: three beef tacos for $ 7. They also have pool, ping pong, and shuffleboard. The shuffleboard is free everyday and the pool is free on Thursdays. Finally, there are no televisions. That means you’ll actually have to talk to the people around you!

We had the pear bourbon wings and mac and cheese and it was delish. I will be stopping in on a regular basis to try the other items on the menu. Go ahead and give it a try, I also found myself here due to Unilocal.Great job Unilocalers!

Best little bar in Baltimore! Excellent food, including some neat vegetarian options(cashew burger, eggplant gyro, vegetable/lentil samosas…). The staff is always friendly and makes you feel at home. There’s trivia on Mondays and free pool on Thursdays. The patrons you run into are a great little cross section of Highlandtown, and you’re sure to make new friends here. Don’t miss this place if you’re in SE Baltimore!

It’s unfortunate because I like the laughing pint, but seriously? It’s Halloween. When you want everyone out *AT* 1AM then don’t serve people at 12:50. Don’t tell me that I need to get out when it’s been 5 mins since you served me. Please explain in the future that I need to leave ASAP after you serve me.

One of my favorite bars, period. Always down to come here and drink a great beer, eat some delicious snacks, and actually be able to hear people speak. Seems to always have people of all different ages here. Glad to have no TV for once too. Anyone that lives near here is better off with this bar’s existence. One downside: their 1 a.m./closed on Sundays license.

Super charming local bar. They owner, Shannon, is always there and is so warm and friendly. They serve up surprisingly good food, including my personal favorite, the cashew burger. This is the kind of bar that makes you feel at home. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to get burgers and wings. We found the Laughing Pint on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. We were very pleased overall. While we didn’t end up playing, the bar has a ping-pong table that a few guys were playing at when we walked in. The bartender was extremely friendly and very helpful when explaining a few changes to the menu and the drink specials. My boyfriend ended up ordering The French Revolution burger. I took a bite of it and it had a good-sized patty and a great flavor of bourbon in the sauce. I ordered buffalo wings — let me tell you, they were the healthiest sized wings I have gotten in a while. Sometimes bars/restaurants make their buffalo sauce a bit too spicy for my taste, but this buffalo sauce was just perfect. Not too spicy, but not bland either. Their bleu cheese dipping sauce was also homemade and really delicious. The drink specials were pretty good. $ 5 margaritas with a healthy serving of alcohol and we each ordered a different $ 5 mixed drink: I got a fresh greyhound(freshly squeezed grapefruit juice that our bartender did right there and vodka) and my boyfriend got a homemade vodka lemonade(once, again with the freshly squeezed lemon juice). All our drink were refreshing and tasty. We will definitely be coming back.

The Pint is a welcoming neighborhood bar/restaurant with some terrific qualities. First off, no TV! This is a conscious choice by the owner and to me a great one to not be inundated by the tube, as we spend our time staring at screens of one sort or another all the time anyway. Non tube distractions include a pool table and great old long maple shuffleboard table. They serve fresh greyhounds and some of the best wings ever. Try it out for a quieter corner bar experience!

Stopped by here for a quick dinner with the hubby based on the Unilocal reviews. So glad we made the decision to stop in here. I’ll start off with the fact that his is a quaint little neighborhood bar. The bartender, Monica, is wonderful… she knows her stuff, friendly, and made us feel more than welcome. My husband ordered the Pear Bourbon wings — which he didn’t even finish it was such a healthy portion. I ordered the Open Sesame Burger. and OMG!!! Ordered rare and cooked perfectly!!! It was honestly the best burger I had had in years! My husband had his first Natty Boh and Palm. I stuck with my rum and coke. We happened to go on a Monday night which is their Trivia night. As the friendly crowd rolled in, Monica introduced us to everyone! Even got us to stay and join in… we were awful, but had a wonderful time!!! We will definitely be back not only for the amazing food? But for the wonderful service and friendly environment!

So glad we finally tried this place out! First of all, it’s really refreshing to be at a bar without a TV. The bartender Shannon was very friendly and made us feel welcome! And pool for 50 cents a game is awesome. Looking forward to coming here often!

I have been here several times as I have a few friends who live in the Highlandtown area. To some it may look like it’s going to be a classless, corner dive bar– but looks can be deceiving. Their food is delicious and they always have really good food specials as well. Specifically, their peanut butter burger has received nothing but rave reviews. The bartenders are always attentive, friendly and helpful– especially Sharon is particularly beloved among my friends. Great food — check. Great drinks — check. Great service — check. What more could you want, right? Games. Not just pool and shuffleboard, but board games as well. Maybe I’m alone here, but I am of the opinion that board games make everything better. Train rides, family gatherings, meetings, dates, babysitting– and especially sharing a cold one with good friends.

Went for a friend’s birthday on Saturday night at 7 and it was waaaay too crowded. Apparently, there’s an art show the first Saturday of every month. But we found a place to sit and order drinks with the 1 bartender that was serving over 30 – 40 people in this tiny bar, so as you can imagine, service wasn’t the highlight. At one point she came to our table, asked if we wanted more drinks, so we ordered and then proceeded to forget about our drinks. When we went up to ask, she apologized and said she’s the only one there so couldn’t help it. Not top notch to say the least. But, the burger was quite rare, just like my husband likes it and tasty. The eggplant gyro was also good. The margaritas may be too sweet for some tastes but good regardless. The menu could use some fish options. We had a nice night but could have been better with faster service!

In scouting out new spots for my friend and I to «HH» yesterday, I drove down to Laughing Pint on my lunch break to check out the scene and make sure the atmosphere was inviting. When I walked in, there was a woman who greeted me from behind the bar and stated they just opened. I thought to myself maybe they should close. I love a hole in the wall just as much as the next person but I need that hole to not smell like I walked into the home of an elderly recluse that has several kitty litter boxes somewhere in the house that surely must have days old poop in them. I actually had to ride back to work with my windows down to get the scent off me and I was only in there for all of 3 minutes! Such a shame too since the drink selections look awesome, owner seemed welcoming, and menu looks vegan friendly but after looking around in this place, I realized I wasn’t as adventurous as I thought I was.

There is nothing to not like about this bar. It fits the bill of a casual dive. When you’re in it you feel like you might be in a boat. Porthole-like windows, blue-painted wood paneling, orange corduroy clothed bar stools. Boat bars are the best, if you ask me. The drink options were plentiful — lots of beers on tap. And each draught was poured in the manufacturers suggested glass — which made me feel kinda special. Black beer on tap? In a giant goblet that makes me feel like the queen of the bar-boat? Yes, please. The food was splendid and very vegetarian friendly — although not so much so that my meat-eating friends were displeased. I had the cashew burger, which was oozing with all kinds of umami-ness. Ginger sesame pasta salad on the side and chipotle spiced pickle spear was a nice extra touch. My compadres all ordered real(as in beef) burgers, and all were pleased. One was called the Open Sesame, and was smeared with peanut butter. So intriguing, in a good way — a quality I like in my bar food. And lastly, entertainment. We helped ourselves to a few rounds of shuffleboard, including a memorable boys-versus-girls round in which the ladies dominated. All credit goes to the magical powers granted to us by that draught black beer. Obviously. Next time — the NSYNC board game. We’ll let the boys win that one. Maybe.

Having moved to Highlandtown recently, I’m quickly finding this to be my local«home bar.» It excels for what it it, which is an exceedingly friendly, comfortable place with a decent beer selection and a menu that is understandably compact. However, that menu offers some very pleasant surprises! When’s the last time YOU had a cashew burger or a burger with peanut butter and sesame garlic sauce?! Open sesame!!! The draught beer choices are also surprising, with some offerings you’d be hard pressed to find any place that doesn’t have the name«Max’s.» I am, however, hoping an IPA appears on one of those taps and becomes a fixture… yeah, perhaps a designated tap just for IPA’s, with a rotating selection of quality ones! For entertainment they offer a pool table and a shuffleboard table. So far I’ve only gone solo, but I imagine it would be fun to bring some friends and make a night of it eating, imbibing, and playing some pool or shuffleboard. Lastly, and most significantly, what makes this a 5-star joint is the friendliness of the staff and clientele(yeah, I know, a fancy-pants word for this neck o’ the woods… errr, city!). Awesome, awesome, welcoming, cool and kind people! All three nights I’ve visited I was made so incredibly welcome, and being that I’ve had a rough year with some horrific life changes, that means a lot. The regulars — and it seems like a high percentage of the patrons are regulars — are very welcoming and willing to chat with an outsider who is now working on becoming a regular. And barkeep Sharon is a total sweetheart, while being excellent at her job(haven’t been when Shannon has been actively working). Great people, great place! See you there!

My neighborhood spot Im pretty sure. Had a nice time here and got to meet some cool neighbors. Im new to highland town still and I didnt have a clue as to what there is to do around here. Dropped in and one nigh and got a real comfortable cozy vibe. Dives can make you feel either comfortable or cautious. nice selection of beer and the no tvs helps get people to actually talk to each other. Seems like a spot I will frequent more often. Been back to the pint a few times more and it’s more and more my spot. Good amount of beer variety and good food. More so cause it’s in walking distance.

PEANUT. BUTTER. BURGER! Enough protein in that meal to last you for a week but it is ohhhh so delicioso. Since I’m moving into the neighborhood in the next couple of weeks, I was looking for my own little«watering hole» to stop in for a quick drank and some noms after a long days work. Found the Laughing Pint to be very vintage. the smell, the décor, the people. very much like hanging out with gramps and grams at their place on a Sunday afternoon. It was a spring day, so the bar had its doors open and the fresh crisp air coming through felt delightful. I had a couple bites of my friends nachos and the black beans/Natty Boh Brat which were atop this masterpiece of mexicano nachos, were right on point. I found LP to be very refreshing and within walking distance of my house… WIN.
