The Moving Company

DO NOT RENT WITH THEM.
They recently moved a woman at a Storage Company I work at.
The driver and workers were unprofessional, uncouth, and smelled heavily of alcohol and cigarettes.
Then they tried to overcharge the woman $ 500 MORE than her contract because they couldn’t park the truck directly in front of the storage unit.
I’ve worked at this facility for some time and have seen semi trucks turn the corners with practical skill. These guys were unwilling to do it at all and even went as far as to suggest that the woman and her mother drive the truck themselves.
And when they unloaded the goods from the truck (after a huge ordeal with the company and the dispatcher), they discovered broken items and the guys were totally unhelpful, even refusing to stack the items in the woman’s unit.
I am reporting them to the BBB and any other agency I can find.

They managed to get the pictures I took of their unprofessional drivers/​movers off Unilocal.AND THEY SENT ME HARASSING/​THREATENING PRIVATE MESSAGES. Blocked. And making sure I send multiple reports to the BBB and Unilocal

Horrible moving company. They moved my household goods from PA to Vegas and lost items, damaged items, and did not deliver on time. they also quoted one price but charged another when they arrived to pick up items. I had to file with the BBB in Order to get any compensation for my items. I would never recommend this company. Their customer service was HORRIBLE!

I will write everything that happened wrong (nothing was right) later when I find out what happens in «arbitration». BUT I just want to say two things… To the people who have used them and are upset, would you be interested in a lawsuit together to bring these guys down? Email me
. I think if we get enough people on here we can do something! For people who are thinking about using them DONT! EVERY piece of furniture was damaged. They quoted us double when they arrived demanding $ 4000 in CASH! (reporting them to IRS to say the least). If you look at all the positive reviews they are bunched together from people who have no other Unilocal reviews and Unilocal actually caught on! I’ve never seen that… Scumbags!

Awful awful awful company! This move has been a nightmare from beginning to end! The company is currently holding my belongings hostage and we’ll not release them to my husband and I until we agree to pay over twice our binding total of $ 2,563… my husband and I moved across country and our belongings were not only 2 weeks late arriving, but now they are putting our belongings in a storage unit instead of our new home! Never work these con artists! You will regret every minute of it!

They moved a few co-​workers and me from the Philadelphia area to Phoenix. They had the same terroristic tactics with all of us: arrive late to pick up your furniture, pace back and forth because clearly, the salesman who gave you the quote didn’t know what he was talking about, they tacked thousands of dollars on every one of our quotes, after they loaded half the truck — they threatened to leave because they couldn’t do the job for the new amount — now it would be even more! They finally finish loading the house onto the truck after midnight (for me, it was 2 AM) and they shove a piece of paper under your nose to sign. We were all so scared we would never see our possessions again — photos, family treasures, it was all so frightening. Then, they finally show up at your new house with the furniture and they want payment for this new amount or they won’t unload the truck. My estimate went from $ 4900 to $ 7200. I am so glad i moved to Arizona. Arizona Department of Weights and Measures responded after we called the police. They re-​measured everything and we ended up paying $ 4800. The truck was inspected and needed a brake welded back on so AZ would not allow it back on the road. They fined them and then stayed with them while they were in AZ. One of the local TV stations actually did a news piece on them — they are that bad! and they will definitely steal your money! They did the same thing to all 7 of us. Beware! Arizona told them to never come back. I understand they are technically out of business but we have been warned, they will probably open under a new name. Know your rights and the law — in AZ, they have to deliver your furniture for only 10% over your original quote. That’s what saved us — that, and Weights and Measures!

If you are looking looking to move and need a company that you can count on, this is it. They helped my family move from south florida, all the way up north. Everything was carefully handled. I would definitely recommend them.

Avoid dealing with United National Moving & Storage. Our experience moving from Rockville to Charlotte was a nightmare & it isn’t over yet. We had a BINDING NOT TO EXCEED contract with them in the amount of $ 4,470. Long story short, we ended up having to pay them a total of $ 8,757.00 or they would not unload our furniture at our storage unit in Charlotte. This is a whopping $ 4,470over the initial contracted charge. We are in the process of trying to get our money back, but UNM&S is being VERY uncooperative. They also totaled our new $ 2,000 elliptical exercise machine & when I told the sales rep about the damage, he told me it was already broken when the movers put it on the truck! UNITED NATIONAL MOVING & STORAGE is not honoring the BINDING NOT TO EXCEED contract they had with us. Please, if you need to move your household belongings, do NOT call United National Moving & Storage.

Horrible and Frightening Experience!
This is company based out of Md. WE moved from NJ to Tx. I had to get the Enforcement Division of the Texas DMV and the local Police involved. My items were officially classified as a «Hostage Load». They tried to extort money and threatened my family. THey destroyed over half of my possessions. After the police and the DMV Officer left the one person they sent had no men to unload. He hired unskilled workers from Craig’s List. My wedding ring were stolen from a locked cabinet that was broken. Sergei the owner threaten to make false statements to destroy my husbands professional license if we continued. He also claimed we had items that did not belong to us and threatened to come to our home. We have young children. We live in fear of these horrible criminals.
