History

Established in 1984.

The Ruscombe Mansion Community Health Center developed in 1984 as one of the many philanthropic projects of Baltimore’s trailblazing couple, Drs. Bob and Zohara Meyerhoff Hieronimus. When Zohara was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, she and Bob explored natural, alternative, and complementary therapies that she has continued to use for over 30 years to maintain her health. As a result of this healing journey, Zohara founded Ruscombe, Baltimore’s first center for natural healing and wellness and one of the oldest of its kind in the nation. As Zohara maintains: «Love heals.»

Housed in two turn-​of-​the-​century homes the Ruscombe Mansion features over two dozen practitioners in private practice. With most of our practitioners trained in multiple modalities, a unique environment is fostered where an abundance of therapies are offered in one location, and where practitioners naturally gain from one another’s experience.
