Tricho Studio

This place is great! The owner, Sharon, fit me in on the same day that I called and gave me an excellent cut for a great price — $ 35. She was very friendly and sweet, and we chatted the whole time. The place itself is very cute and unpretentious, and they go above and beyond to make their customers feel welcome. They even had cheese and crackers for customers out. I always like to support family owned, neighborhood businesses, and this place definitely has that vibe. The guy getting his hair cut next to me actually had been coming since he was a little kid! It’s also in a cool location, within walking distance to the main part of Hampden.

are a mother and daughter team that really
know their stuff, especially, when it comes to

I got lucky the first time as a walk in, as the owner was there and had time to give me a cut. I am very picky, and that cut was perfect. I subsequently got haircuts from other stylists at the same location, and they were all good, but not as good as the owner. I subsequently moved from Baltimore to NoVa and have been disappointed by every place I have tried (all under $ 25). Maybe I should make an appointment at Tricho for next time I am visiting Baltimore.

I used several other salons in Baltimore before finding them. All of them were good but very pricey and waaay to fancy for my taste. Fancy salons for me always feel like you are paying for the fanciness of it and not for the actual service.
I went to Tricho Studio for over 2 years and I was always happy. I just recently moved to Cary, NC and I can’t warp myself around the fact that I won’t find another Tricho in here.
Tricho Studio is all you can ask from a salon. They are very reliable and they are super friendly. They go out of their way to find exactly what you want/​need or to accommodate you if you need an «emergency» appointment. And also, and for me one of the most important aspects, they are family owned and local. I am always happy to support local business. And finally, their prices are just great.
I can’t recommend Sharon (the owner) and the rest of their ladies enough.
I will be missing them for sure.

I have been a customer of Tricho for almost 20 years. The owner Sharon is an expert in hair color, highlights, haircuts and styling. I have also been to several of Baltimore’s expensive salons and spa’s, but Tricho’s results are excellent and the prices much more reasonable. Tricho has a friendly, casual atmosphere and décor. Easy parking right on the Falls Road and a quick walk down the block to Tricho. Appointments are recommended, but they also take walk in customers. Give it a try!

This is simply the best place — Neal’s excluded — for getting hair done right in North Baltimore. It’s such a great mix of people from 2^nd generation Hampdenites to newcomers in search of a place to call home. My wife and I came here together for cuts and styling and were never — ever! — disappointed. We miss this place! Check it out and prepare for an eye-​opening experience.
