Terrible terrible terrible waits — I have repeatedly had to wait to be screened due to miscommunication amongst the office staff, as well as had to fight with my insurance because the patient representative was unable to provide the correct information to my insurance company to begin with.

We usually go to the University of MD Eye Associates office in Owings Mills. We love our doc, Dr. Huston-Scott and the location is very convenient. Because Dr. Scott is on maternity leave, we had to schedule an exam and contact lens fitting for my son at the downtown office. BIG mistake! First, we had to fight the downtown traffic and the difficult city street parking. Then we had an unusually long wait. The we saw both a tech and doctor who were not native English speakers and were difficult to understand. When I asked for the prescriptions, they told us to pick them up downstairs at the optical shop, but when we went down there, they told us that their printer was broken and that they’d have to email us the scripts. Well, it’s five days later — no scripts. I have called and they have now told me that they can’t be emailed; we will get them snail mail this week. I will not ever go to this office again. If I can continue to see Dr. Scott in Owings Mills, I’ll continue with this practice, but I won’t go downtown again.
