Visiting San Antonio on business, I wished to go for a horseback ride in the Hill Country. I own a horse and ride frequently at home, but enjoy riding in different locations when traveling. Marci and Russell Tiner could not have been more accommodating. I rode Earl, a 16 hand appendix quarter horse, who was easy going, well trained, and very fit. We walked, trotted, and loped over two and a half hours through the 5,000 acre Northrup Pipe Creek Ranch. Marci was a great host, and I enjoyed her company, riding alongside, for the best trail ride on a livery horse. So often I have ridden «nose to tail» on trail rides; this one was most enjoyable.
