Meet the Business Owner

Basant P.

Business Owner

Basant has had a variety of life experiences that has led her to owning her own business. She graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from Georgia Southern University and worked in chemical product development before earning her M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine. She went on to work as a Process Engineer and left the demands of that job to be a stay-​at-​home mom. Needing to keep busy, she started working from home as an independent direct sales consultant for The Pampered Chef. When her second child was ready for preschool, Basant decided to pick up an adjunct instructor position that allowed her to still be available for her family. She continued teaching as an adjunct instructor for 4 years (at 2 different colleges). With the choice of going back to school for further education to continue teaching or follow her lifelong dream of owning a bakery.
