I came into the DMV to renew my driver’s license on a Monday without an appointment. This place is fast and efficient. Very small place since Banning is a small city. I was in and out the door within an hour. I got zero attitude from the employees.

This state government office always has the friendliest staff! They are «worth» the wait! Management obviously does a great job keeping their morale UP in such a busy environment full of diverse races and People! Thank you to your staff for their attention :)

I had a pleasant experience at this DMV. Walk-​in appointments were available and the wait time was short as the staff made quick progress through the list. They were courteous, patient and were knowledgeable of immigration paperwork. One of the best in the SB county.

Well let’s start off with I don’t expect to much from California dmv offices, they’re all pretty bad from the wait to paperwork to staff and irritated customers around you, but I’ve come to expect this so I don’t have great expectations. With that said I arrived to the banning office to meet maybe one of the rudest individuals I’ve met in quit some time and of course she was in the «start here» line. From the time my daughter and I walked up to the time I received a number she was rude, overall uninterested and not helpful. Her demeanor was enough that my 6 year old daughter asked me what was wrong with her and if we made her mad. After sitting for an hour they still couldn’t process paperwork as they’re location was unable for whatever reason but at least the agent was very tactful and tried to help. So, strong work to one employee too bad it was after opening with unprofessional laziness that probably should have just stayed in bed this morning. Hopefully don’t have to return anytime soon

Customer service was good, but a long wait. The only thing is that it is small and not enough seating.

Without doubt the best DMV in the Redlands, San Bernardino, Moreno Valley and Banning area. There’s always a fill-​in appointment available and the waiting times are generally much shorter than any of the other offices.
Both my kids passed their tests here and the testers made them feel relaxed not anxious. This helps as teens can fixate on the messenger, so they make mistakes because they are thinking about the tester not the test.
If you’re looking to do anything DMV related then look at the options here. A welcome «secret» for those who know.

Best Dmv experience I’ve had! Short wait and employees actually seem to give a damn about people. Gonna try to conduct my business here from now on.

BY FAR the best DMV experience Ive ever had no doubt about it. I didnt have an appt but i was able to do my license renewal with vision test and written exam all in about an hour or less. Try doing that at redlands or san bernardino, good luck. Overall the employees are alot nicer here when compared to other dmvs. If you live no more than maybe 20 to 30 min then definitely try this dmv.

This office can be nice to go to depending on time and day you go. Pretty short wait times compared to other DMV ofices. Decent parking lot. They are across the street from a Subway (Jack in the Box down the street), so u can grab a bite to eat while u wait to get called.

I was at the DMV Banning this week (11÷04÷14 at about 8:15 am). As I was standing in line, a customer approached the counter where the clerk greets the incoming customers. He presented the female clerk with a California title. Apparently, he wanted to list the purchase price as $ 1.00. The clerk became very rude with the man telling him he couldn’t purchase the vehicle, which was a 2007 Nissan (unk model) for that price. The man remained calmed as he told her he could. The DMV clerk became more angry and yelled out to the 40 or so people waiting, «Would anyone like to buy a 2007 Nissan for $ 1.00?» You could see the look on the mans face as he was humiliated.
Not only was this unprofessional, but this is why most of the public dislikes the DMV. Even though the purchase price the man suggested may not be acceptable to DMV standards, this was definitely not the way to go about it. I hope that the DMV supervising staff sees this complaint and tries to rectify the problem.

Been there for DL&ID application and writen test without an appoinment, i was expecting a whole day in this place since i dnt hav appoinment but to my surprise, i was out in 4hrs only!

I love this DMV. The staff is so friendly compared to the other DMVs I have been to I’m Riverside County.
I walked in and out in the span of fifteen minutes. It wasn’t crowded and full of grumpy people.
I will definitely come here from now on. :)

Well they closed the one in Moreno Valley (don’t know if its temporary?) & Redlands was a zoo (usually not that bad), so we headed to Banning a week ago & it was fricken crowded, only because there were alot of employees off and about four employees working, plus the manager. We stood there almost 2 ½ hours, which surprised me, it’s usually dead — you get in & out. But anyhow my kid had to take her test again, so this time it was empty, & still no one at the check in window, but I got to give them props, they do get you in and try to get you out as best they can & you’ll never get that service in LA or OC counties, good luck if you hear your number within 4 hrs of excruciating painful waiting there… But here in Banning, yes agreed the drive (if your not from that area) is a drag, but well worth getting your DMV business taken care of if your lucky to be nearby or headed that way (luckily my daughter is in MoVal)…also wanted to mention there were 2 employees & the manager that were excellent, all three ladies, the two under the manager, one was a younger gal there in the front by the check in window (w/​light blonde hair) & another nice lady (think native american doing the exams) who were above Awesome customer service, wish I had gotten their names. As for the rest of the employees, should really take a cue from these wonderful people, as they customer service skills lacked alot of effort. & I know State gets alot of smack, but as a fellow civilian employee, that is still no excuse to be lagging in the public service dept…

Small location but it gets the job done. Rarely crowded, which is great. It is an old building and the parking lot is tiny. Easy Access to the freeway.

If you get there by 430pm, you will leave by 5pm. Trust me, I’ve done this several times.
The only hard part… driving to Banning.
Other than that, this is smallish center. Parking is also limited, but there is a street adjacent to the building so there’s room for overflow. But this place is never fully packed so you won’t really have to worry about that.
They share spaces with an urgent care clinic, but the clinic’s parking spaces are marked.
