From Oil Changes to Exhaust work, brake jobs and electrical, Gasoline or Diesel engine’s. We also do Car Wash’s and Auto Detailing. We also welcome AAA calls, for lock outs, jump starts, and tire changes in the local area’s only.

History

Established in 2005.

The Garage was built in 2004 and Opened in 2005. It was run by the former owner Joe until 2012 when it was sold to Scott the current owner who has been with the company since 2010 and many years to come.

Manager

Scott is a mechanic of 12 years and doesn’t specialize in just one area of mechanics work. He is personable, honest and always up for a good conversation.

Scott also own’s an Auto Detailing and Car Wash Business where he runs from the same location as the garage. Stop in for some automotive repairs a car wash or just to say hi.

As of January 1st of 2012 Scott will be taking over the Garage and Laundry Mat next door and hopes to add more services such as Motor Vehicle Inspections to make the garage your one stop shop for all your automotive needs.

Drove seven hours to Bar Harbor for a quick vacation and on the second day noticed a large puddle of oil beneath my engine. I called up Bar Harbor Auto Repair at 8:30 am on a Saturday and was told to come in at 9 am. Scott was in the garage and immediately put my car up to take a look. I wandered around town for thirty minutes and when I got back he had fixed the leak and only charged me for an oil change. Excellent service, very reasonable price, and a life saver.

Despite what the other reviews say I had expetional service. I was stuck with a broken u-​joint which noise developed after the road trip from CT. I did not know what was wrong and thought it was going to be something more expensive like a ball bearing or worse driveshaft but I could not drive home without getting it fixed.
I was extremely nervous after reading reviews on google but didn’t have much of choice since I was staying at a hotel close to Bob’s. I called that evening and was told to come in the morning.
I went with my wife and Bob immediately put in on the lift and showed me exactly what was wrong with it after only a few minutes of troubleshooting. He told me and my wife to go have breakfast around the corner which was VERY good (sorry can’t remember name). By the time we were done, so was my repair. I was charged an extremely reasonable amount for labor and was probably a 1⁄3 of what I would be charged in Fairfield County CT. These guys were extremely courteous, honest, friendly, speedy mechanics I have ever had the experience of dealing with. Their friend sitting in the office even offered us friendly advice of things to do while in town. I seriously cannot say enough. I just might save some maintenance work for them next time I’m there.
If you are on vacation and need a repair at least go check them out. Bob seemed like a great family man.
