Solid place! It was a really sweet hotel. We stayed in the King room which had only a single bed and a TV and a bathroom. It was a standard room, clean and a really comfortable bed.
The highlight is the location. Close enough to walk to downtown, very kind folks at the reception desk and a really great overall environment. I recommend this place totally!

Say yes to this modest property outside the center of town! The stroll after dinner brought fresh air and a lovely stroll out of the hubbub of the main street. We are high maintenance when it comes to beds at hotels. This place pleasantly surprised us with the bedding, firmness and structure.
The fresh apples and coffee all day in the lobby added a quaint, friendly air. The price, for a suite, coupons for a most home town restaurant for breakfast and a lobster dinner el fresco with warm and welcoming service, was quite a bargain.
We slept well after hiking in Acadia, housekeeping came on time and made it all spotless again and night times were quiet as we prefer. .Even the mini couch felt comfortable, better than most in mini suites. The electric fireplace served not just as a pleasant sight, but also as a quick warming to a chilly evening. We even had a little balcony with two chairs for an evening cocktail. Skip the high brow places with high prices and stay here for a lovely vacation.

It’s a very nice hotel, and located centrally within bar harbor. The rooms are very nice, and the staff are considerate. It’s also very close to Acadia National Park. They provide complimentary coffee in the morning.

Fantastic value for Bar Harbor. Room is clean and pleasant. Bathroom is renovated, clean, and very nice. Stayed in the Inn building, and had a private outdoor sitting area and reserved parking space. Location is great — easy walking distance to all of the shops, restaurants, and attractions downtown. Would highly recommend, and would absolutely return.

Really nice. I’d stay again. I would get rid of the carpet and update the prints in the room. It’s about a ½ mi. to the center of town, but there’s some cool stuff close by. I think this place is a deal. The carpet felt and looked clean but the first night I was there, I could smell the chemicals they sprinkle on carpets and thought I was going to die. If you’re sensitive, hopefully, you can open a window. It went away after first night. I had a small room for a short stay. No real lounging area but had cute porch for me right outside for that. Very good.

This is our 2nd time staying at Bar Harbor Manor. We stayed in one of the king sized rooms in the hotel section and the price is very reasonable. The room is large and has enough room for 2 adults. The hotel is very convenient to many things– a 2 mile drive to Acadia, a short walk to the downtown area and waterfront and there’s a Hannaford Supermarket down the street. The parking lot has ample spaces and the service is great! There is also an inn and suite section to Bar Harbor Manor but I’m not sure of what they look like. Definetely would recommend this place to anyone!

The hotel section is new. The rooms were way larger than expected while the price was very reasonable. In reality, I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a nicer hotel at this price point. Convenience is great too… a short walk to all things downtown. Would definitely recommend to friends.

After doing quite a lot of research on Bar Harbor options I settled on this location. I needed something I could afford during the height of the season, was available for several days and walking distance to everything in town so that weighted the rating.

Well I think I counted at least seven different patterns in our room LOL wall paper, border, curtains, carpet, bed spread, shower curtain and decretive tile
While there is very pretty garden around the building there is no view other than the driveway
I would definitely see if they had rooms available if I was in Bar Harbor again.

Great location, clean and charming. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Acadia National Park which is a 10 minute bicycle ride from Bar Harbor. This hotel was very impressive. We stayed in one of the older cottages which have been completely renovated and updated. The rooms were large, attractive and upgraded bathrooms, two TV’s (not really useful but it made my husband giddy). The location is one block off the main road which means it was quiet, yet convenient. It’s close to a grocery store, bank and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. When we arrived, we were greeted by a really nice man who recommended restaurants and bicycle rental shops. We will absolutely stay here again if we return to Bar Harbor.

Underwhelmed. Rooms were clean. Accommodations were quite limited. No place to lounge or read a book and relax and no pool or other amenities. We had a refrigerator in our room but it did not work. We had three drawers and a handful of hangers for two adults which was not enough. The halls and rooms stank from drying paint or mildew. I don’t know as it never went away. For high season they had vacancies each night we were here.

My wife and I stumbled onto Bar Harbor Manor, just by chance after having a one night stay/​bad experience at another place in town. The rates were great, and the location is amazing! Like another person said, there isn’t an oceanfront view, but you can walk to anywhere in town within minutes. Everything was very clean, and everyone who worked here was very knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely friendly. We plan to come back to Bar Harbor someday, and this will definitely be where we stay upon our return. Highly recommended!

What a gem! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and couldn’t have been more comfortable. We arrived around 7PM and were met by a gracious and friendly woman behind the desk. Score one point right off the bat since I can’t stand pretension or snootiness.
We’d had a miserable drive up, and to make matters worse my husband was having severe back problems. The solution? An upgraded room with a large (read 2-​person) jacuzzi! The upgraded price was extremely reasonable and worth every penny. Better believe we were soaking in the tub in record time! In addition to the jacuzzi the suite included a king size bed, sitting room, kitchenettes and a separate shower. Oh yeah — did I mention there were 2 flat screen TVs? Great for watching all the news on Hurricane Irene.
The garden outside our room (complete with arbor and fountain) added even more charm to the experience. Housekeeping was wonderful, too.
Only one complaint — and a minor one at that: with so much natural beauty, why the dusty, sad silk plants? Ditch those and you get 5 stars.

My boyfriend and I stayed here over labor day weekend 2011. It is perfectly located so that you can walk to all the shops and restaurants on both Main and Cottage Streets and its literally a 3 minute drive to the entrance of Acadia National Park with quick access to Cadillac Mtn, Jordan Pond, and the visitors center. The inn itself is beautiful and clean and each unit is very private unto itself. Would definitely stay here again.

A delightful find in downtown Bar Harbor. The accommodations were clean, modern with an old world touch, and charming. The grounds were well manicured, and the owners clearly care about their B&B as well as the customers. Highly recommend, and would happily frequent again.

This had to be the best value in Bar Harbor this week. A really nice updated room with 2 beds, flat screen HDTV, refrigerator and coffee maker in room. Very competitive rates — the $ 109 +tax seemed lower than most of the other in town places we checked, with an easy walk to downtown. I’ll definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the manor in July of last year for two nights, one night before we embarked on our journey to Nova Scotia, and another night when we returned on the Cat ferry. We ended up choosing this hotel quite randomly, just by visiting one of the Bar Harbor websites. With our AAA discount, we received a rate of $ 148 per night, which I guess isn’t bad when you are staying in the heart of Bar Harbor. We arrived on a beautiful day and were greeted by a very nice person at the desk. This hotel was the best out of all five hotels we stayed at during our trip to Maine and the Maritimes. The room and the bathroom were very spacious and clean (also, the towels were formed in shell shapes– a nice touch). The location was perfect, too. This was not a large hotel and it was very quiet. Also, since we had to leave early in the morning for our ferry, it was very convenient checking out of the hotel and getting out of the parking lot. Even though we did not have an ocean view, we could easily walk to the water and to the quaint town of Bar Harbor. Also, there was an outdoor porch we could sit on and read or just relax in the warm summer air. If we return to Bar Harbor (which I hope we will), we will definitely stay here again.
