We are a family owned and operated lobster pound. Lobsters are caught fresh daily by both my husband, Phil and son, Nick. We also offer fresh mussels and clams. We specialize in a lobster dinner which includes fresh lobster, corn, mussels and butter. Lobsters of all sizes. Live and Cooked and we also pack for travel. We are under a brand new construction Winter of 2016 and are moving from our past location of 864 State Hwy. 3 to our new location 1569 State Hwy. 102 in Bar Harbor. We will be adding a few things to our menu this year including Maine Lobster Rolls. We are a takeout of restaurant allowing you the choice to eat at one of our picnic tables located on site or to take with you to your own location.

History

Established in 1970.

The Travelin’ Lobster was first started back in the 70’s by my husbands parents Philip & Carroll Corson on the corner of Rodick Street in downtown Bar Harbor. The tradition has continued and grown to our new location on 1569 State Hwy. 102, Bar Harbor.

We have been providing fresh lobsters to visitors and locals for years. We’ve owned a few businesses and have enjoyed providing the freshest of seafood. This is a dream for both myself and my husband to have our own location so that we may continue on with what his parents started as The Travelin’ Lobster 30 years ago.
