Bogie Firearms Academy is committed to the safety and training of both new and existing firearms enthusiasts and owners. Safe gun use, ownership, home defense, personal defense (with firearms) and shooting competition training is our goal for the individual shooter and their family.

We also take great pride in offering instruction to disabled individuals and senior citizens who are looking to become gun owners for any reason. Youth instruction is also available, as Richard Bogath is the NJ Junior Pistol Team Coach.

History

Established in 2014.

From extremely humble beginnings, slow and steady growth, one student at a time, one course at a time built a following of students and referrals for additional students that built a demand for instruction, training and services for people who want to understand and own firearms.

Rich Bogath is a certified NRA Firearms Instructor in Pistol, Rifle & Shotgun, a certified NRA Rage Safety Officer, a certified NRA Hunting Instructor, the New Jersey Junior Pistol team coach, holds a PRESS membership in the National Shooting Sports Foundation and is a member of the Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs. He is also author of the Best Predator Hunting Book ever written (Howling The Moon Dog) and maintains the shooting blog; Jews Don’t Shoot Guns.

He also coaches the New Jersey Junior Pistol Team who took first and second place at the 2015 National championships. Woo-​hoo!
