No standardized protocols here and they don’t pay attention to what’s on your chart. Had a mammogram in the middle of my cycle, so I checked on the intake form that I could possibly be pregnant(though highly unlikely due to my age and long history of infertility), and I told the radiologist the exact same thing. I had to request the lead apron since she was going to take the pictures without it(actually had to convince her to give it to me), and she took six pictures. I got called back for more testing, and they wouldn’t tell me why on the phone, so I worried for three days before I went back, only to be turned away for answering the exact same way I did three days earlier about the possibility of pregnancy. I also had issues with them about a year ago when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. They took over a week to get their act together to make an appointment for her biopsy. Oh, and they don’t have any areas in the back where men are allowed, so you can’t even have your husband around when you’re a nervous wreck waiting for your test results. If I could give them fewer stars I would. I’m getting my films sent to Beth Israel Deaconess and having my follow up work done there. I noticed there is also another very poor review of Cuda that was automatically not recommended by Unilocal, but it’s pretty spot on. They don’t tell you about their male policy until you get there(when my husband asked if he could wait with me, they told him there were«scantily clad» women in back – we all have almost ankle-length bathrobes on while waiting to go in). On first walking in the way we were greeted, my husband commented on how rude they were. I’m sure some of the people who work there are nice as the other reviews state, but my experience there has been pretty miserable in my multiple interactions with them. UPDATE: I just received a bill for my mammogram, and they did not charge my insurance company, even though they scanned my insurance card when I went there, so now I have to deal with their billing department. And, even though I was turned away for a diagnostic mammogram after some suspicious findings in my initial mammogram, there was NOFOLLOWUP from them to reschedule! No phone call, no letter, nothing.

Scary thing when someone calls from the mammogram center and says that they want to do another set of pictures! However, this place puts you completely at ease. Had to have a needle biopsy the other day and I can’t even begin to thank enough Ann, the tech, Megan, the PA, and Dr Lara who performed the procedure for the compassion and care that was shown to me. The facility itself is filled with light and a sense of peace. Kudos to all involved with this Women’s Health and Imaging Center… it is truly a place of hope.

The Breast Care Center at Cape Cod Hospital has moved to the new Cuda Health Center off of Attucks Lane. This state of the art facility is like a spa. Patricia still greets the patients as they arrive. I had an appointment at 4:15 and was inside at 4:45. Oh, they offer warm robes and Johnny’s and your own locker. This was the easiest mammogram yet. Love your boobies. got get your mammogram girls.
