Monty’s

Having to drive by this place twice a day on my way to and from work, we finally tried this place out for lunch while at work. Having several roast beef joint’s so close, we usually do Mike’s or Timmy’s which are also good, but decided to break out a bit more and finally tried Monty’s.
The main reason we tried it, was bc we work at a hotel and they DELIVERED which the other joints don’t. The reviews on here and on facebook were very positive so we gave it a go.
The menu is simple and easy. Their menu is listen on their FB page. They offer daily specials with great deals and good value.
My co workers each got the 3 way roast beef and spit an order of onion rings. I tried their steak n cheese with fries. Both were incredible and top notch. The fresh cut fries are what make it great. The onion rings are also amazing and fresh. Perfectly crispy and golden.
We ordered them again today and had a tuna melt toasted on wheat w pickles and lite mayo, someone got a ch. burger special w bacon, and someone got their steak n cheese. The tuna melt was perfectly toasted on a good quality wheat w plenty of tuna, the bulkie steak n cheese was great, and the burger was one of the best I’ve ever had. The burger I compare it to a summer bbq burger perfectly cooked with that nice bbq taste. Superb.
Next week i guess we will go healthy and try their salads which look good.
Good friendly service when ordering, delivery is prompt and this is a nice hidden gem right across from Barnstable airport.

Just read the bad review below and I have to say I could not disagree more. Ok, they did have The Price is Right on the TV…
Service was quick and friendly, my roast beef sandwich was delicious and my coworker’s Pastrami was tasty as well. The fries were exactly to my liking, not too thick and had a nice crunch. Perfect! As for prices, it’s lunch, we were hungry, and who cares. Didn’t seem expensive to us.
When work takes me back to Hyannis I’ll definitely eat here again. Try it, you’ll like it!

I get delivery from here at least once a week and the food is amazing. I usually go for the steak and cheese or the roast beef on a bulky roll. Fries are hand cut and taste awesome. Specials offered everyday of the week. Reasonable prices.

Love the roast beef it is delicious with the Barbeque sauce they use which is pretty spicy. Fries are very good as well. Recommended I usually go when I’m flying in and out of Hyannis.

Montys is a small, cute, clean place where you can grab lunch while watching Price is Right on their TVs. My husband and I tried out this place because of the great reviews of the pastrami. What a disappointment! For $ 13, we were expecting a big ol’ pile of meat, but instead he got a few slices of meat. It was tasty for sure, but way too much money for so little food.
I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. It was fine. Nothing to rave about and nothing to complain about.
We wanted a fast lunch but instead we waited 40 MINUTES for our food!!! Nearly an hour for a salad and a sandwich, and not once did a waitress come over and acknowledge the fact that they were taking unusually long.
So if you like waiting, you don’t want a lot of food, and you like over priced menus, go to Monty’s. But not if you’re a «tourist», because the cute waitresses only chat it up with the regulars.

Great food, and good people. Went here and got a chili dog with light cheese and onions, onion rings, and a frappé and it was excellent. My girlfriend got a burger and said it was great too. Definitely be coming back not many places that you can eat at and also have a frappé with your food.

If I could give fifteen stars for this pastrami I would. Thinking back to a drive to Provincetown last summer, I got a tear in my eye. I live in LA and OF COURSE we have the best food of every type available. Seriously. Anything. We have excellent pastrami of every sort! 5 star! In fact, I was reminiscing as I walked into The Hat today. But Monty’s. This is whole different pastrami ballgame. This is melt in your mouth, moist, disintegrating pastrami that you don’t even have to chew. It’s so rich and flavorful I don’t even know how to describe it. And trust me, I’m a woman of many words. This is a few steps beyond the pastrami you think is the best. It’s mind blowing. It’s ridiculous. Now that I got that off my chest, everything else was great too. The French fries were so cruchywonderful. The pickle was was even excellent! (A pickle?) I love the super modern and clean interior. Everybody is super nice. I actually can’t think of a single complaint, except that they didn’t have booze (which apparently they now do!). This is no roadside sandwich shop. They are not messing around in there!

Monty’s is one of the newest spots to pop up in Hyannis, so I had to give it a try on my visit for the July 4^th weekend. The menu promises fresh, local, and seasonal food. House-​made roast beef and pastrami highlight the sandwich options.
I went with a reuben, and it was one of the best I’ve had in recent memory. I also had a side of fries, which were ok, but definitely required ketchup from the condiments bar to be enjoyed.
The chalkboard wall and furnishings definitely give this place more of a modern feel. Based on the immediate surroundings — including a deserted gas station across the street, Monty’s seems a bit out-​of-​place on Route 28 in Hyannis. It can also be hard to get to if you’re battling confused tourists in the notorious two-​lane Airport Rotary.
Fortunately, Monty’s offers both take-​out and delivery; grab a sandwich and head back to work, or head to the beach!
At $ 14 for a reuben with fries, Monty’s seems to be a bit on the pricy side for lunch. There are definitely more affordable options on the menu though, including a $ 6 burger.
I wouldn’t drive out of the way to go to Monty’s, but it’s definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area looking for a quality lunch or early dinner.

Really really good roast beef, I think its better than timmys. Grilled bun, rare bloody roast beef, and cubed pickle relish. I’m def coming back here!

Walking distance from Double Tree Hotel it was the only pleasant place I found with decent food very clean and great service reasonable prices totally worked for me

A few things:
I wish they had a better phone answering service. Many times they’ve been so busy our calls either ring forever or go to a voicemail. It’d be nice if they had a phone that could hold multiple calls. Sometimes the person on the phone is nice and helpful and other times not so much.
Delivery has been prompt. However we received a wrong order one of the 5 times we used them.
Great variety. Something for everyone. We really like your meal deal and the brand of chips you buy. The sauce for the chicken parm sub is what makes it. It’s almost «to die for.» Almost. Generous portions of fries which is always fantastic!
Fairly priced.
HOWEVER, after every. single. time we’ve eaten from Monty’s we’ve been extremely sick the next day. We don’t know why. The first few times we thought it was a bug, or something else we had eaten prior that day. We did an experiment one day and only ate monty’s and next thing we knew… sick sick sick. Maybe it’s the oil in which they fry their fries? Maybe its how they cook their burgers? We don’t know. It’s still delicious and it makes us sad that we can’t physically eat it.
So, yeah. Mixed feelings.

Loved this place. Very good traditional North Shore roast beef sandwich. High quality roast beef very rare. I would get mine less rare if I could next time. Friendly staff.

Even though my waistline tells me to stay clear, I find that I frequent this fine establishment at least several times a month. Not that the food is heavy mind you, they just have such a great menu that it’s hard to order just one or two items.
So far my favorites include:
–Grilled Chicken sandwich. The chicken is fresh, lightly breaded, made with fresh vegetables, and doesn’t put me in a food coma. I take it with lettuce tomato, and horseradish. /​drool
–Clam Chowder. While the base could be just a touch thicker for my liking, the careful balance of clams and vegetables, not to mention savory bacon, make this a staple of almost every visit.
–Hagandaz Milk Shake. Best milkshake in the area! Be warned though, you may find yourself having a hard time sleeping at night as you anticipate your next fix!
The establishment is always clean and well maintained, and the staff always courteous and attentive.
Getting in and out of the lot can be tricky during the summer months on Cape Cod, but absolutely worth the effort.

In contrast to the land of lobster, sometimes a roast beef sandwich takes a stand. Monty’s serves it so well. Basically, it’s served plain with some slaw on a very soft, warm bun. Couldn’t believe how tender and tasty it was. Nicely sized portions matched only by the super-​sized hospitality of the staff. Oh yeah, my wife had a lobster roll and enjoyed it equally. While I don’t often get to the Cape, Monty’s will definitely be my first stop whenever I return next.

Excellent sandwiches and the French fries are killer! I’ve had the steak and cheese twice now and both times it’s been perfect –very tender steak and loaded with peppers and onions. My only complaint would be that it was too big for me to finish! The fries were perfectly seasoned and look hand cut. I’ll definitely be back.

So excited this place is finally open! Errol knows how to make roast beef! And pastrami for that matter. And a killer Italian, great burgers, the best chicken cutlet sandwich I’ve ever had. Basically everything is delicious and you should go get lunch here ASAP! Awesome milkshakes, and did I mention the onion rings? The best ever and a small order is enough to feed 4+ people. The girls behind the counter are so sweet too!
