Next Chapter Bookstore is by far the nicest book shop in the area. Cynthia and her staff are so helpful in assisting you with finding the perfect book. And if by some chance they do not have it in stock, they get it shipped to the store for you super-​fast at no extra cost. And after you are done getting your new book, you can stop in for a Bagel next door!

It’s a bookstore, but only just barely. 90 percent of the store is kids toys and gifty items and the rest are books for small children. You won’t find much of anything for anyone over the age of 8 and navigating it feels like a cluttered mess.
The employees also leave a lot to be desired. I felt like I was bothering them just by being there and the responses to my questions were borderline rude.
Simply put, it all left me with very little desire to go back…

Well, if you have kids this is the place to be. If you don’t, well, don’t expect much for adult browsing. I used to go here when it was Barre Books to peruse the shelves and find something to buy to fill the time. After it was sold it was totally turned over to more child based material, and as a result is more Romper Room than book store. I do all my shopping on Amazon now. which is sad, but cheaper…

This store has everything for everyone. Books and quirky gifts for all ages and I mean ALL ages. Great kids selections of art, crafts, books and toys. Friendly owner and very helpful.
