Stopped for some ice cream here because it’s right down the road practically for me, and wanted to try one of their«fall flavors«- ordered a medium pumpkin(2 scoops, at a cost of about $ 4.95 before tax). It was delicious and I would recommend it for those who love pumpkin flavored anything. It is pricey, but it makes sense where it’s handmade. I have not tried one of their homemade waffle cones, but after reading some good reviews on them, I’d like to next time I go. The atmosphere is very bright and happy, and kids are easily entertained.

The place is nice looking, well cared for, has a nice play area for kids and plenty of picnic tables and Adirondack chairs to enjoy the ice cream in. The ice cream is very good. However… service the evening we went was beyond slow. It was torturous. The one, lone waitress took our order… went to the register and totaled it up… came back to the window… announced the cost… then, seeing I had a credit card informed me that they have a $ 10 minimum on credit cards or it’ll cost you a fee of 50 cents… then she went off to swipe the card… then she came back to ask me if I wanted a receipt… then she went to get the receipt… and finally, she goes and makes my sundae and fills my wife’s cone. Meanwhile, there’s aline of about 8 people waiting their turn. The variety of flavors is not as good as most other places and they were out of some to boot. Make it easy on yourself and head to Largo’s down the road a bit.

Very fun looking ice cream stand, colorful, Adirondack chairs, fun paintings, I was very excited to try this place, however both my fiancé and I found our ice cream disappointing. Perhaps we didn’t order the«good flavors» I got cake batter which didn’t have much flavor at all and had noticeably large ice crystals in it, and my fiancé got brownie batter which had more flavor but no where near what it should have. Very bland ice cream.

While Sugar and Ice does have a lot going for it — for example, the cute décor and building, the vast play area for smaller children, the array of picnic tables and lawn chairs for relaxing while eating — the ice cream is not impressive. The texture, for me, is almost more like shaved ice. Not creamy and smooth like you would expect ice cream to be. It’s a shame, because the owner is just lovely, but I find that the girls that take your order are often a bit frosty and not personable. It’s 3.50 for a small ice cream in a cup. If you want a fresh waffle cone, it’s an extra dollar. They have a very small selection of ice cream which only includes hard scoop, and a small is only one scoop of ice cream. For the same price, I can go less than 5 minutes down the street to Golick’s Dairy Bar and get smooth, creamy ice cream with over 70 flavors to choose from in hard scoop, soft serve, fro-yo and even dole whip. I would definitely pass on Sugar and Ice.

The ice cream here cannot be topped. It’s REAL ice cream. They make it right there. It’s creamy and delicious, and I have never had better. It’s awesome. I love their homemade(made right in front of you!) waffle cones, especially with a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of cake batter… it’s heavenly. You will not be sorry that you tried this place. The portions are huge, and it’s so good. We drove from Stratham to Barrington during the summer, because no other place could compare, it’s that good. They have a doggie sundae that our old boy Rufus just couldn’t get enough of. The staff is very polite and attentive. Love this place. Love it.

My kids absolutely love this place… OK, so it’s an Ice Cream place, what kid doesn’t like ice cream. So, the first time I went to this place a year or so ago, I was not very impressed. The decorations seemed pretty tacky, and the prices seemed a bit high. However, as I have been paying more attention to how food is made, I realized that this place is really the best in the area. They make most of their ice cream on site with as many all natural ingredients as possible. Every time I am there, I see the owner, and on many occasions she comes out and talks with me about the ice cream and the ingredients she uses. The more I get to know, the better I like the place. The«tacky» decorations are starting to grow on me too. Also… they make really good fresh waffle cones … you can see them being made when you order them.

Located on route 125 this ice cream shoppe has a lot going for it. Unfortunately good ice-cream isn’t on the list. The place is very nice looking and the play yard for toddlers is great. However the ice-cream quality is not good. The chocolate is unlike any I’ve ever seen before it is more like fudge than chocolate. Of the four of us that went, none of us were impressed. It’s a shame because the place is so nice looking and location is great. We unfortunately threw most of it away.

We’ve gone here many times. My son loves it because of the toys they have. I always get the black raspberry frozen yogurt. It’s good, I just wish they had more flavors of frozen yogurt. My husband got the Moose is Loose and said it’s excellent especially on the homemade waffle cone. Our son enjoys any ice cream from anywhere, so no luck there with a review. We’ll go back of course! We know the owners too.
