History
Established in 1996.
Tyler Point Grille was opened in 1996 by the Andreozzi family in Bristol, RI. The building was renovated from an old ship store to create a fine dining Italian restaurant with a nautical décor. The restaurant obtained the first liquor license in Barrington, RI. After 1 year, the Micheletti’s from East Greenwich, RI, took over and ran it for 14 years focusing on a heavy Italian cuisine and décor. In 2010, Brian and Elizabeth Thimme, from Bristol, RI purchased the restaurant. Brian is currently the executive chef and has retained some of the Italian influences but expanded the menu to create more modern American cuisine focusing on local seafood and traditional New England flavors. The Thimmes have also created a more modern atmosphere and décor, upscale but not fine dining, as well as added outdoor dining overlooking the Barrington River and surrounding the boatyards. The Tyler Point Grille remains a local favorite and continues to attract guests from all over New England.
