Pizza was okay, our waitress was kind of rude. I was looking forward to the stuffed mushrooms, excitedly expecting stuffing made of chopped mushroom stems, garlic, spinach, maybe some romano or locatelli cheese, a little bread crumbs, and olive oil drizzle. Instead, we got mushrooms stuffed with only breadcrumbs and drenched with butter. They melted mozzarella on them which was nice, but omg. tooooo muchhhh buttahhhh! Calzone was tasty but not stuffed with enough ricotta.

Love their pizza and also their wings. Their white pizza is to die for. A true gem in the country. Il Castello is a mandatory stop for our entire family on the drive up from NYC.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Besides how this place is horribly over priced, it is gross. Went camping and came here for some pizza. I ordered a buffalo chicken slice and they said they were out so they poured buffalo sauce on top of a chicken parm slice(w.e I can deal with that). What grossed me out was how the woman behind the counter picked up the slice with her BAREHANDS and DRAGGED it across the bottom of the plastic area it was in and ACROSSTHECOUNTER. Nasty. Stay away from here.

The food is okay. Considering it’s the only pizza place around here. The females that work at the counter are always rude. I had actually told one of them they were being rude and they told me I could leave. They’re pizza is nothing special but it’s not bad either. I always order in and leave as fast as possible so I don’t have to deal with the rude females working at the counter.

Fresh salad bar, Great pumpkin cheesecake(seasonally) great pizza. Friendly staff. Owners are very pleasant. Nice family atmosphere.

I stop here once a year right before a canoe trip. It’s more of a tradition then due to the food itself. Pizza is nothing special. They do have a nice variety though. Staff can get a little impatient. Interior is nice. Overall, if you just need a quick bite, you could do worse. Also, it’s a pretty remote area. Not sure if anything better is actually around.
