What?! This is 100% a 5-Star establishment. Ordering was quick and easy with a smile. Brought out food promptly. Checked on how we were twice and cleared our table with a smile. All for under $ 10. Last night ate at a Zagat-rated Vegas restaurant. Treated us like crap and the food sucked. They can take a lesson from this Carl’s Jr.

Passing through with over 200 cadets, was a breeze, with the personnel at this Carl’s Jr’s. They had everything prepared as we arrived, and the cadets enjoyed the meal. Staff was awesome, and everyone was in & out.

Fresh burgers, clean dining area & restrooms and the perfect waitress. Everyone should have the luck to meet Karen! Nice place to dine, even if it’s fast food.

Gave this location another try and while the stench in the restroom was fixed, the breakfast fare was sub-par, nothing tasted good(or like any other Carl’s Breakfast) As usual the staff was friendly and attentive, but with food that lacks flavor there is no point stopping Need to scratch this one off the list forever…

The manager during the day shift is extremely rude to customers and workers. Clearly there is low morale at this location.

Yes I know it’s Carl’s jr but I have to give a small shout out to Richard and Robert for providing good customer service and handling rushes pretty well. This location gets super busy!

Ok apparently it was just that one employee that was awesome! Last visit there, I stood at the counter saying«Excuse Me» for about 15 minutes to get ranch for Zucchini that wasn’t brought with them. They just kept looking at me, but kept taking orders… Apparently once you have paid for your food they are done with you.

Restaurant was super clean, so clean that they wouldn’t stop cleaning to take my order. Took about two minutes and I was the only person in line. Be forewarned, if you use your debit card they charge you $ 1.00 just to use your debit card whether you get cash back or not. The food was okay for the length of time it took to get to me it wasn’t as hot and fresh as it should have been. I’m pretty sure I’m not going back and stay at the hotel right across the street.

Worst carl’s jr. I’ve been to. And that’s saying a lot because the one in Santa Maria, CA right off 101 by in-n-out/mcdonalds is pretty horrible too! –No ice, 2 soda stations with no ice in either. This was at 3:30pm on a Sunday in the summer. –3 of the 5 mens room urinals were covered with black garbage bags, I assume out of service –The manager did nothing but yell really loud at the employee’s the entire time we were there. There are better ways to motivate people that doesn’t irritate guests! –Our order was pretty simple, a grilled chicken sandwich combo for me, then a cheese quesadilla and fried zucchini for my wife. Instead of the quesadilla when our tray was delivered(very nice waiter, btw), it was some kind of massive taco salad. This was 20 minutes after we placed the order. So my wife had to wait another 5 minutes while they took the taco salad thing back and made a new quesadilla for her. So much for a quick stop to get some food and use the restrooms while on the road at this place!

Typical low standard quality food from a fast food restaurant like this the biscuits and gravy was pretty good I guess the servers were very nice and somehow the bathrooms are pretty clean for this restaurant I would usually give this a 1 or 2 but because of some improvements I saw i give it a 3

By far the busiest location I have ever visited! Handled the heavy traffic well and clean bathrooms! Large seating area! Good stop on the way to Vegas but expect a wait!

On May 04, 2014, stopped in to eat at the Lenwood Road Carl’s Jr. in Barstow. Had seen a vicious review, but stopped in to see for ourselves. Clean store at 7:19 am, clean restrooms, fast service and a very nice lady running the front end. We will stop there again on our next trip to Las Vegas… JJ from Lancaster, CA

Stopped here as a rest stop driving back to Vegas from Disneyland and I was pleasantly surprised with not only their huge, but clean women’s restroom! As a female, public restrooms are always a sketchy place to enter, so I liked the fact that it’s big and well kept. Food was your typical Carl’s Jr and service was fine — great to have fuel for the ride back.

My friends and I stopped at this Carl’s Jr. on our way from L.A. to Vegas, marking the first meal of my bachelorette weekend. It was a quick stop, being fast food and all. Service was polite and efficient, and we got a table easily. I hadn’t been to a Carl’s Jr. in many years, and since I didn’t grow up eating it, I feel little attachment to the food. That said, I liked my Santa Fe chicken sandwich. Charbroiled chicken breast, lettuce, cheese, Santa Fe sauce, and most importantly, green chile, on a honey wheat bun — not bad, Jr. Not bad at all. One major complaint — we went on a boiling hot day, over a hundred degrees in Barstow, but the temperature inside was cranked to freezing cold. It was the kind of irresponsible air conditioning that can make people sick. I guess it was better than no air conditioning at all(i.e. death in a Carl’s Jr.) but still, not ideal. We were almost relieved to go back out in the heat. We were definitely happy to resume our drive to Vegas, where better things awaited.

This review is for 08/31/2012. When you think of stopping in Barstow, you know about 99% of the people traveling through are going to Las Vegas. Well, NOTME! I am headed to Albuquerque, NM… For Labor Day Weekend?! Yeah, Why not?! But before I can do any mileage damage, I have to stop in Barstow and grab a bite at Carl’s Jr. I thought I wrote a review about this Carl’s Jr. when I started with Unilocal, but I guess it was just the ARCO Gas Station. The McDonald’s, Del Taco, and the Carl’s Jr. are the top spots for a lot of tourists to grab a fast bite. For me, I wasn’t going to grab a fast bite, just a healthy bite. Why choose Carl’s Jr?! I thought this location had the Taco Salad. It didn’t. With Labor Day Holiday crowd packing up the Barstow area, lines were long. The restaurant can hold probably up to 120 people and there is plenty space. However, the counter was very small. There were only two soda machines and I wonder how they got through the summer with minimal equipment on hand without anything major going wrong. The bathrooms are maintained well especially with the crowds coming and going. With the long lines, I knew I shouldn’t have ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad. So many of the employees were in a rush to finish the order. While people sat down, more people came in. It seemed like it was Black Friday. Before I sat down, my order was already delivered. The salad looked awful. It was like someone didn’t want the Chicken Tenders and just sliced it up real fast and put it with whole lettuce and onions. Really disappointing. Well, not sure what to blame. The restaurant, the crowd of people, or me for just stopping in THINKING I was going to get a good salad at a fast food place on the start of Labor Day. Well, the salad and the soda was enough to get me moving for the next 11 hours. I would have given this Carl’s Jr. a Two-Star Rating, BUT… they had Coke Zero. My favorite Coca Cola Product. Unilocal is My Review, My Story, and My Life. Its time to share it.

One of many pit stop locations on the way to or from Las Vegas, in Barstow. Typical Carl’s — OK fast food. Not much else to comment on. Order was right and was brought out to the table — tables were cleared and the restrooms weren’t nasty.

Taking that freeway break/stopover between Vegas and LA? Here’s another place you can stop at. This Carl’s Jr is often missed. Sure it’s right across from the outlets but with the hustle and bustle of the crowds… this Carl’s Jr that is tucked out in the corner seems to get lost in the crowd. The staff here is definitely very friendly. One of the folks at the counter greeted each person that walked in with a loud hello. When we got our orders, another person working there asked us multiple times if there was something they could get for us. It’s definitely not a bad place to stop at. The folks are friendly. The place is pretty clean. The service is pretty quick. The food is delicious. I got their new teriyaki chicken sandwich.(A pretty good sized chicken sandwich with sweet teriyaki sauce and a pineapple on top… yum). We also got a side order of zucchini(it was served piping hot to our table). Fast, friendly, good service place! Great stop over: D
