So I pull up to the drive-thru. . I end up waiting a couple of minutes before a response, but it’s late and there’s one person working so no deductions here. Here’s a run down of what happened to warrant my 1 star review — I order a large coffee, no thrills. . just a large cup of black coffee — no sugar, no cream — I pull up to the window, I wait a few minutes then the girl comes to the window and says there’s no large cups«so what do you want me to put it in». I say«a medium cup will work» –still no issues, she’s not responsible for the supplies — a few more minutes go by and she comes back, I give her my card. She says«$ 5.13». . I pause for a second and think to myself. .. «Did I just hear something stupid?» — she comes back and hands me my card, the receipt and the coffee. I look at the receipt and confirm that I did indeed hear something stupid. SHECHARGEDME $ 5.13 for a coffee. — I honk my horn, she comes back and I’m like«Did you just charge me $ 5.13 for a coffee?» and she’s like«Ya. .. it’s the medium cup» — it’s now apparent that I’m dealing with someone who has a double digit IQ — I pause for a second to think of how I’m going to respond to such blatant idiocy, «How long have you been working here» I ask, to which she responds«I’ve been working here a year» — At this point it is clear she does not see how stupid it is that she has not considered her mistake, yet somehow she thinks $ 5.13 for a coffee is a normal price — I mention«a medium coffee is priced at $ 1.79» — she says hold on, let me check on that — she comes back 5 minutes later and gives me my change for the correct amount in cash — I hand her the coffee back and say, do you realize this coffee you gave me is cold? Yes, THECOFFEESHEGAVEMEWASCOLD. Not just a little bit cold, but like cold as in room temperature. She says sorry and offers to remake it, I said«can you just give me a full refund» This whole time I did not say a single disparaging thing to her but she needs to be reprimanded for an outstanding lack of common sense

This place is an oasis in the desert! When you are thirsty, tired and need of something fresh and healthy to revive your body enroute or heading back from Vegas — this is the answer. My husband and I shared the Maui Breeze and thought it was an amazing smoothie — filled us up and cooled us down. They have a drive-thru. PERFECT! Repeat for sure!

Jumping Java is an almost must-do pit stop enroute to Vegas. Located in Barstow, about a couple of miles from Vegas, this joint offers a good choice of juices, smoothies and ice-cream. I had an iced latte and my husband opted for a delectable milky way with the works. They also have fresh fruit juice freezes and my son got one for himself which he worked through pretty quickly. There is a subway in the same store so this is a nice place for a grab and go en route. Considering that there are a few starbucks spread around and little else, make this a place to stop by if u need to fuel up before u hit the road again.

Came here on my way back home from Laughlin, and wanted a quick coffee with my two friends. Ordered two lattes, which really djdn’t have much expresso in it, and a regular coffee. They ran out of lids, and i ordered an iced latté and the girl gave it to me in a size small hot cup. What!!! Then, for the medium hot coffee, the girl gave me a medium cup but it was only filled a little below half! I was soo upset because we noticed this only when we got back into the car and drove off. I wouldn’t come back here, or recommend this place at all, complete rip off!!!

Got the Maui smoothie… Delicious! We were the only people in the drive-thru and weren’t greeted at the window for a solid 5 minutes which felt like FOREVER. That was the only downside.

I stopped here on my way to Vegas in an attempt to start my gluttonous Vegas weekend with a healthy sandwich. I checked out their franchise website and they had a good selection of sandwiches, salads and wraps. When I arrived I found no such thing. They only serve coffee frappé drinks, ice-cream sandwiches and smoothies — which are made with so many unhealthy ingredients they should be called milkshakes. Crisis was averted though, because they share the same space with Subway, so I didn’t starve. It’s your basic subway, nuff’ said. A couple of logistical things to know. If you’re trying to find this place don’t rely on Google maps. Despite that the address is correct on Unilocal,Google Maps thinks this place is on the West side of the 15 freeway, when in fact it is on the opposite side. So if you’re on the 15-North exit at Barstow Rd. and go RIGHT, not left. It may be easier to search for the restaurant Casa Jimenez. You have to drive around the backside of Casa Jimenez to get to the Subway/Jumpin’ Juice Java parking lot. Also, if you need to call Jumpin’ Juice call Subway instead, because Jumpin’ doesn’t pick up their phone. I doubt I will return to Jumpin’ Juice Java, but if I did it would be to try one of their ‘build your own’ ice-cream sandwiches, since that’s kind of unique.

Great alternative to the Starbucks fix. Peppermint patty taste great; peppermint mocha. They have juice and smoothies also. The two cookies with ice cream inside looks so tempting and under $ 3. Next time.

Driving from San Jose to Vegas is a long-haul. Especially when you leave at 3am. And trying to find local coffee shops on the route proved to be difficult at times. Jumpin’ Juice and Java shares it’s building with a Subway and is it isn’t busy, the barista might be over helping the sandwich line. Just stop over and mention you need help. I had amazing service both on my way too and from Vegas. I had an iced soy latte both times with different flavors that the barista mixed up for me. Be careful, it can be a calorie bomb dessert drink if you aren’t careful(my friend had a coffee shake type drink!). Decent price, excellent service, pretty good coffee. I will pref this place over a Starbucks any day!

I’ve always loved Starbucks and Seattle’s Best but I wanted to try this local place. I ordered a blended Snicker Coffee. Oh, my, gosh. It’s not pieces of Snickers like you’d think; It’s coffee with mocha, caramel and peanut butter. I haven’t tried anything else because I’m kind of stuck on that drink. I’ve gotten a few friends stuck on it too! For the summer, the drive thru is open all night and Subway is in the same building, also open all night. Nice change of pace.
