I took my son in for a drug test. He had interviewed for a job and the place he was interviewing for told him he needed to go to Care Spot to get his drug test. This was his first time, he had never done this before and he did not know what to expect. We get in there the time was 4:30pm. There was nobody waiting in the waiting room, the woman behind the desk was not friendly at all. She acted like we were causing her some kind of inconvience. After we signed in and sat down to wait, my son said he was not ready to leave a sample but he will soon. The lady behind the desk said that was fine, take all the time you need because once he had signed in he could not leave, so drink plenty of water and maybe that will help the process go faster. Then she acted like she had never processed the papers for a drug test, she started asking all these questions like who to send the results to, etc. My son had handed her the paper that was given to him for the request of the drug test but she still was clueless. I was hoping it all gets processed correctly. Then this other woman comes out from the back and they sat there at the desk talking about drinking, parties and halloween. While we waited I decided to run outside to make a brief phone call, when I returned, there were 4 women standing in the waiting room in front of my son saying negative things to him. I came in and asked what the problem was and they told me he needed to leave his sample now or we were going to have to leave and I said he will as soon as he can, I said we have only been sitting here 30 minutes, they said they are ready to go home, I said I thought you were open until 8, they said, we are, I said, well its 5 now, what is the problem, I am sure he will be able to leave a sample before then, anyway, they kept on and my son said he would try and thankfully it was a success. I have never been treated that way before, I have been to several urgent care places in the past and I have also done drug tests at these types of places and never were the staff so rude. I will never go back to Care Spot again nor will I recommend Care Spot to any of my family, friends or co-​workers. After that experience it was no surprise there was nobody in the waiting room. They were smart, they went somewhere else.

The care we received at this location was more than I could have asked for. The nurse practitioner was kind, compassionate and truly cared for my sins well being. She was thorough and took her time examining my doc 22 month old. I am very grateful for her care on what was a long stressful day.

Place was clean with modern décor, staff friendly and the nurse practitioner seemed knowledgeable yet willing to listen and answer questions. Did not try to ‘upsell’ us on unnecessary equipment for my son’s sprained (not broken as we thought) finger.

We came in Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend 30 minutes before closing. Turns out they didn’t take our insurance (Aetna, but they’re working on that), so as I was deciding whether we should pay for a consult or go to the local ER, the receptionist checked my son (he had a tick on his back, stuck on so we couldn’t just pull it off with our fingers). She told me what to do (tweezers and alcohol-​for the tick not me) but also double checked with the doctor. They ended up letting me use a set of their tweezers and watched me do it, and it all went well!
This was a non-​emergency situation, but I was so impressed at how helpful they were with no pay and when they did not have to be. The place was clean and welcoming and I will go back in the future (especially once they take my insurance!).

I rarely write reviews. I have to feel pretty passionately about something in order to do it. I definitely feel that way about this place! My daughter, who is NEVER sick, had some bizarre symptoms ongoing for a couple weeks. The symptoms kept increasing, but 90% of the time, my daughter acted normal, so it was easy to assume she was feeling just fine. I got dismissed from a pediatrician’s office and then got referred to CareSpot after visiting a concerned Nurse Practioner (at the Walgreens on Stage… they were good too, but there resources are limited) Dr. Collins did anything BUT dismiss us. She was very thorough and took multiple tests. You also get blood work results on weekends here, which is not common. My daughter was seen last Thursday and her blood work was coming back Sunday, so they scheduled a follow up. In the meantime, I had SEVERAL conversations with Dr. Collins (not a nurse), about my daughter’s status. When I called, they put me right thru to her, and if I didn’t call, they did. On Saturday, when they called and found my daughter was still getting high fevers daily, Dr. Collins insisted I take her to the ER. I did, and got dismissed without doing any examination beyond vitals. At my follow up yesterday, Dr. Collins was upset at my ER experience and continued to be as thorough as her facilities would provide. She ended up diagnosing my daughter with pneumonia (following a chest x-​ray) and possibly mono based on her blood work. She sent us to a different ER and even called ahead for us. Our ER experience this time was much more pleasurable to say the least. They ran the mono tests recommended by Dr. Collins as well as many others and took another chest X-​ray to confirm the pneumonia. My daughter was treated immediately and is now on the road to recovery (hopefully). I sincerely believe that if it had not been for Dr. Collins’ thoroughness, we would still be here scratching our heads and racking up the medical bills. To say that I appreciate her is an understatement.
In addition, the facility is beautiful and all of the staff is very kind. I highly recommend if you seek urgent care in the Bartlett area, that this be your place.
