Specialties
Cedar’s Mediterranean Grill is a delicious blend of predominantly Italian and Lebanese food, with the same heart-healthy ingredients known throughout the region. Our restaurant was formed from the merger of two award winning favorite restaurants within Bastrop County.
We have kept a few of the old favorites from the old Daddy’s Grill, like the ½ pound burgers (Lunch only), and the famous Death by Garlic sandwich (Lunch only). Our Lunch Menu has quite a few different types of options than the dinner menu, so make sure you check out both our lunch & dinner menus if you’re looking for one of your favorites.
We offer a popular Steak Night on Saturday evenings, with a few additional steak options in addition to our regular menu. And a few times a year we offer a Lebanese Night with a special menu. Check our website for the dates of this.
You’ll find Cedars to be a versatile option for your catering needs. No limitations to just Italian and Mediterranean for our catering functions.
History
Established in 2008.
Cedar’s Mediterranean Grill itself was formed in February 2008, from the merger of two popular local restaurants, on the principles of making quality food that continues to appeal to our customers as it has in the past through our Best of Bastrop County awards, and reducing our overhead so that we can keep our prices reasonable, despite surging food costs. This combined location has allowed us to operate with two strong co-owners who are the chefs and managers, enabling them to give more time toward improving our customer service through staff training, and implementing needed changes quickly for good customer service.
Meet the Business Owner
Raymond and Khalil Y.
Business Owner
Raymond Keyrouz — loved to cook for his family and friends, and with a little coaxing from his friends, opened Daddy’s Grill in 2001. Well known in the Bastrop community, his restaurant quickly became a favorite, serving a blend of traditional Texas fare and Old World Mediterranean.
Khalil Younes — has been an Italian restaurant owner and chef since 1989, starting with Café di Roma and Pavarotti in Austin, prior to moving to Bastrop in 2003. A long-time favorite to many Austin customers, many of them still travel out to Bastrop for the wonderful food.
