I personally manage and supervise the construction of custom homes, additions, remodels and various other types of buildings. Together, you and I will handle your project from beginning to end with a one on one approach to making your dream a reallity. Rather than working with a high volume company located in branch offices all over, you will be working with a builder that actually knows how to build. I specialize in strong, energy efficient, and high quality homes and projects that will last many years. The knowledge and experience I have gained over the years allow me to be able to have many contacts for the best sub contractors with the best people to do the many trades involved on a project. Having worked most of the trades for many years is crucial in allowing me to communicate with the sub contractors what is required to make your project a success. Knowing when to schedule the right crews makes it easier on everybody.

History

Established in 2010.

In 1951 my grandfather gave up farming in the Kansas countryside to become a home builder. Over the next 24 years the number of homes he built was in the hundreds. My father learned the trade from his father and later taught me to build houses and a variety of structures. By 1975 I was working in the family trade. Over a decade later, 1989, we were in Colorado doing some large commercial concrete projects as well as home building. A few years later, a developer visiting from Austin, TX persuaded us to move to Texas where our talents in the trade could be put to good use. By 1997 we moved to Texas and built custom homes and commercial projects until my Dad retired in 2000. I managed the business for the next ten years partnered with my sister. In 2010, I started my business as MW Contracting and eventually moved to Bastrop, TX with my family where I am located today. With a sense of pride, I continue to build high quality homes today and in the future for Texas families.
