THe Aldi chain of limited inventory grocery stores is more than a throwback to the heyday of «generic» stores. Mixed in with the On-Cor analogues you’ll find some real high quality goods. For example: with prices for almond milk soaring as high as $ 4.49 for a half gallon of Silk, you can get the ALDI’s version for $ 3.29. Bread prices are a bit lower than other store brands, and just as good(if not better) quality. Stealth goodies like chocolates imported from Germany(ALDI’s home base). WHile some folks may turn up their nose at Aldi, they have no issue shopping at Trader Joe’s(sole location in Pittsford, NY), which some consider to be ALDI’s brother store. upon closer analysis, you’ll find comparisons between products there. Except the ALDI’s version is less expensive.

I hit up this location a lot on my lunch break as it’s pretty close to my work. It isn’t as large as some of the other Aldi stores but they have a good selection. Recently they started carrying their own brands of gluten free items which is very exciting for our household. The quality of these items is on average or better than the well known brands and the prices half as high. I really appreciate that a discount store has started carrying this stuff. The store definitely loses points on the availability of staff to help you with something. The cleanliness is also lacking but it wouldn’t stop me from purchasing things here.
