Of all the dive aka neighborhoodish bars, the food really makes the place stand out for me. The kitchen is open late, they nail the huge fish sandwich(not greasy, fish fresh, properly-sized roll lightly toasted, and for all the right«crunch»), the fries are crispy coated, they don’t stick together or taste like some other food. I have never had any complaints about the food and in fact I enjoy going here — been several times. It is a smoking bar filled with age ranges 20s to 40s, and the noise level is relatively high. Otherwise, check it out. Plus they have a ghost which is cool as well. The food is definitely ahead of its times for quality for what the place looks like. It is essentially a dive, the bathrooms are loaded with dust, the stools are ripped, it is a weird thing. For now, it works so check it out.

My wife and I stopped here by chance and although it was late and a snowy evening, the service was fantastic(James) and the food was actually awesome! Yeah, the old«bar food» label, but that’s exactly what you want sometimes. A special bonus: the historic design and of course«ghosts» apparently frequent the place! Give it a try!

Smoking is allowed inside here. That is a big turn off for me. So obviously that effected my experience. This is a very casual place that you can grab something to eat or have a beverage. The food was good and the bartender was nice. It has a full bar. The menu is bar food, but again we liked out quesadilla. There is not a large selection of places to go in Bath, so if we were looking for something quick and close we might try this place again.
