Arbor Vitae Tree Service

Very disappointing. I was a loyal Arbor Vitae tree service customer for over a decade and they were always prompt, professional, and left the yard immaculate. They are NOT what they used to be. This June they came to thin out my trees, but now it’s a young team lead by the owner’s nephew. They neglected to cut out some dead material from one tree, and left some cut branches laying on my shrubs. I called and they said they’d return to finish the job, but they never did. Big on excuses and delays but no follow-​through.
By early Sept. I found several branches already touching the roof. Usually it takes 3 – 4 years for regrowth between jobs. I called the owner repeatedly over several weeks for them to make it right; mostly I had to leave voice mail messages. Once his wife answered and I explained the situation. She said she’d give the message to the nephew. Still no response.
After 5 weeks, I left an email on their website, concerned that they were no longer in business. Within an hour I got an (automated?) email saying that they would get back to me as soon as possible. Two weeks later, still nothing! I could kick myself for referring so many people to this company over the years!
If you need tree service, save yourself some grief and call anyone but Arbor Vitae!
