Benny’s Express Carwash

Went to Benny’s for an inspection sticker around 1:00pm on a Wednesday. There was one car ahead of me so there was just a little wait. Usually, there are two people doing inspections — one greets and checks paperwork while the other performs the inspection. It is usually convenient to pull up, be greeted quickly and hang out in waiting room. However, There was only one person today so I waited in my car which was okay but some communication would have been nice. After the car ahead of me was completed, the technician walked up to my car. I said hello and she said nothing so I handed her my paperwork. She told me to go to the waiting room. After about five minutes, I paid and was told my car was finished. I walked to the bay and it was not ready. I apologized for disturbing the technician and she said it’d be a few minutes so I waited and read my receipt. At some point, she finished and walked away while I wasn’t looking. She said NOTHING. I did not realize that my car was finished until she was honking the horn of the next car at me. I was confused and startled. The lack of communication and rude behavior was unprofessional and unbelievable. This used to be my spot for inspection and oil changes but I won’t be back. Oh, and on the way home, I noticed that some of my old inspection sticker was crumbled and left on the dashboard — lovely! My receipt says courtesy: Hannah so I guess that was the technicians’ name.

After what I got for $ 70, I’ll never return. $ 70 is supposed to get you a full detail, inside and out. I get to my car and there is still dirt on the inside lip of my door. Whatever. Then I noticed there is still a layer of dust across my dashboard. The undercarriage and suspension was also completely untouched and covered with dirt. And it wasn’t a lot of dirt because I don’t go mud riding. I had specifically asked them to clean behind the door to my gas cap and it was untouched as well. So not only do they clean unprofessionally but they are also not capable of taking simple instruction. Whenever I ask them to do it for me after pointing out the dirty spots to them they didn’t want to do it and showed me how they say they were. Now if I’m paying you $ 70 to get something like that done I expect nothing less than $ 70 worth. Your place isn’t even worth having my vehicle in its parking lot

I WAS happy with the service until I learned that my oil drain plugs had been stripped.

Better than average car wash, typically one of the lowest gas prices in the area. They have free air pump and vacuums too.

I drove over to get an inspection sticker on a Saturday afternoon. I was told the wait would be over an hour, which I thought was totally ridiculous, especially for a place with a lane dedicated for inspection stickers. Instead, I came back a few days later on my lunch break. I still ended up waiting 45 minutes just for them to take my car in. You can tell the employees have no sense of urgency, and the lady who took my insurance and registration was really unfriendly and just grunted at people. I handed them my paperwork neatly paper clipped together. When I got back in the car they just left it strewn out across the front seat. I’ll give two stars since they were quick once they got the car in and the guy who took my money was friendly enough. But yeah, go elsewhere.

Got my oil changed this afternoon. I heard a loud noise from under the hood soon after leaving Benny’s. I stopped and opened the hood only to find that the air filter was laying on top of the engine. The air filter housing was wide open. I will not ever be going back to this establishment.

You can’t go wrong when you stop by a Benny’s. This one is located on Perkins between college and Acadian. You get free vacuuming and air.
Plus they offer inspections and more.

Stopped by the other day to get an inspection done but their shop was flooded so they could not do the inspection. Understandable – stuff happens.
But when I came back the following day to get a state inspection the mechanic told me my OBD II sensor wasn’t reading. Thought that was weird because I had just gotten a read-​out on it the day before. Brought it home – checked the fuses and OBD port – everything was fine. Brought it back to Benny’s – same thing. Went to a nearby auto shop to get inspected and they got an OBD II read-​out right away and said everything was fine. Returned to Benny’s to request my money back since there was nothing wrong with the ODB sensor and they wouldn’t despite their fault.
Loyal customer beforehand. But cannot give my business to a place that does not right their wrongs.

My car didn’t really come out clean but the free vacuum kinda makes up for it. Plus you really can’t beat how cheap it is. I’ve never had an oil change there so try it if you dare.

The car wash itself isn’t great, but the staff makes up for it. It didn’t quite clean my car all the way, but the attendant let me go through the wash a second time for free. I’ve also gotten my inspection sticker here before, and it went smoothly.

Those guys there are AWFUL people. Got my oil change there over a year ago and someone stripped my oil plug. Went to another place after to get my oil change and that was when I found out about it. Went back to them to make them fix their mess and it was supposedly fixed. Today, thanks to my handy Honda service people who actually know what they’re doing and are legit and honest people, I discovered that the «fix» was temporary and my oil plug was once again messed up. So I had to shell out $ 130 to get a new bolt and plug fixed before my oil pan went bad.
NOT surprisingly, after the fact, I heard from all kinds of people how Benny’s has messed up their vehicles as well. Don’t know how they have gotten away with it for so long and are still in business.
People, PLEASE TAKE MY WORD AND DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE FOR OIL CHANGES. Benny’s WILL mess up your car.

I’ve been coming here for years to get my car washes, details, use the free vacuum, oil changes, and inspection stickers– a true one stop shop. Although they can get pretty busy on the weekends with oil changes and inspection stickers, they open at 9am Sunday mornings and it is literally empty. I quick 30 min and you can get both services done.
This is also the quickest, cheapest best car was I’ve found– as cheap as $ 5 and then you can add on from there. I like getting the wash + express detail for $ 40. They really do a great job. If you don’t want to spend the money, there’s always the free vacuums around back too.
The reason I can’t bring myself to give 5 stars is because once when my car was returned to me after a detail my driver’s side door wouldn’t open from the inside. I’m not sure it was anything that the guys did, and luckily I was covered under warranty so no big deal. However, the attitude that I got when the car given back to me is costing them a star.

Very efficient place — quick, cheap and well-​done machine car wash and interior detailing!

Altogether, this is a pretty good carwash. There are three options ($ 3-​$ 10), and the basic wash is pretty good. There are also some free self-​serve vacuums that are off to the side. I have not tried the oil change place yet, but it seems to be pretty efficient.
