History
Established in 1953.
John and Ann Collier started Collier’s Gallery in 1953. John having studied at the Chicago Art Institute, and Ann having studied at Columbia University in New York, made the decision to open up an art and framing gallery a logical choice. Ann Collier passed away in 1980, and John retired from the business in 2009. During that time, Collier’s Gallery established itself as one of the flagship businesses in the industry. Since1976 the Collier’s son, John «Jo» Jr. has been involved in the business fulltime. In 1978, he became the first CPF (certified picture framer) in the state of LA. Today, John «Jo», carries on the family tradition of exceptional knowledge and expertise in the art and framing industry.
