Painting and Pinot is the place where anyone can find their inner artist, regardless of age or skill level. During our BYOB painting classes, you will have one of our incredible artists lead you through the painting — step by step! So whether you are an aspiring Picasso or just looking for some much needed relaxation, you will transform a blank canvas into an original piece of art.

History

Established in 2010.

The idea for Painting and Pinot came from Violet Tremblay, an over-​worked perfectionist that was looking for a hobby. For Christmas (2009), Violet received lots of painting supplies from her wonderful husband and family. They were desperately trying to help her find a way to relax. Fortunately, Violet found out that she was pretty good at painting. Not only did her paintings turn out like she wanted but she also found great stress relief in painting. Since the Violet was painting for fun, she decided to have a glass of wine. She then turned on some music and drank another glass. In a two glass buzz, Violet told her husband «I think this is what I want to do… as a job.» One would think that with Violet being a colorblind science geek her husband would have laughed in her face but being the supportive and wonderful husband he was (and possibly drinking the rest of her wine), the husband agreed to help make her dream a reality.

Violet Tremblay is co-​owner of Painting and Pinot. In her previous life, she was an Environmental Scientist for the State of Louisiana. Violet thoroughly believes that if she (a color-​blind science nerd) can paint, anyone can paint. In her spare time, Violet enjoys going to spin class and playing with her adorable daughter.
