By far, one of the best Residence Inn locations that I’ve ever stayed at. The location was near perfect in being close to the mall, as well as I-10. Although next door to its sister property of Courtyard Marriott and within walking distance of Joe’s Crab Shack, this hotel is conveniently tucked away within the Seigen Marketplace to give it a more private appeal that is away from the mainstream traffic. The room? Excellent. The suites themselves are roomy enough to accommodate several people at once. One of my favorite furnishings was the extended couch, which also can become a pull out bed. The extension(its called something else, yet I can’t think of it) is such a welcome feature, especially if you just want to put your feet up and relax. The WiFi signal was quite good throughout my time here. The hotel social events are on Mondays-Wednesdays, usually from 6:00 — 7:30PM. During my stay, the theme on Wednesday was«Waffle Sundays», served with a wine or beer choice. Ummm, yes please! For me, I had the beer(not the cheap stuff either), which was Stella Artois. Stella seems to be pretty big at this location, as there are the brand chalices everywhere. Not that I minded. I especially appreciated the customer service of the GM, of whom she kept my beer chalice full at all times! The customer service was outstanding. Absolutely outstanding! The front desk agents were genuinely friendly, and quite helpful. Breakfast had a good amount of choices, and actually tasted quite good. Sausage, eggs, waffles, cinnamon toast sticks, etc were among the daily choices. I especially appreciated the variety of choices each day. You had your standard staple of breakfast items(eggs, sausage), yet this kitchen would introduce additional items each day that enabled the breakfast to be far from routine. The amenities at this location are common, and what you would expect(pool, gym, etc). I didn’t get a chance to use them this time at all due to my schedule, yet its comforting to know that they are there when I need them. Plenty of parking around the building, which never seemed to be an issue despite there being a full house during my stay. Why can’t all hotels be like this one?

500+ night platinum member call ahead because I have a family of 5 on the road this week front desk is rude even exasperated I would try to check in at 1pm and doesn’t even offer to take my number down to let me know when room will be ready. Call customer service of course local hotel calls back again being snappy that they were sold out and had to service all their guests. This will be a long week …

Why isn’t it 5 stars? Because they charge a $ 100 pet fee. The place was full of animals and I think they do it more as a scam then really«deep cleaning» a room after you leave. A way to make extra money, guess I should be grateful they allow pets at all is the way they see it? The room was nice enough, what you would expect and like my last residence inn still had left over human hair in the bathroom… I did like the convenience of restaurants nearby(chillies, Texas Roadhouse, Joe’s crabshack) and the breakfast was better then some for sure. Also, they forgot to do my wake up call on checkout day… which sucked! I got up late, missed my shower and some breakfast, had to get on the road :(

This is where I stayed 2 business trips ago. I was here for a full 2 weeks and this Marriott, and I definitely felt at home(all things considered). This Residence Inn is also conveniently across the street from restaurants, a grocery store, and miscellaneous shopping. A decent breakfast and evening cocktails help too. The room itself was comfortable and I kept the kitchen stocked with beer, wine, and snacks. I also made good use of the exercise room and actually looked forward to coming back here after a long day in the field.
