Squires Tuxedo Rental

This place is HORRIBLE. If you want a special event to go smoothly and to be treated with good customer service, DO NOT waste your time or money here. My sister-​in-​law used this place for the tuxedo rentals for her wedding. Ten tuxedos were needed. Of the nine groomsmen, five of them had issues. During my husband’s sizing appointment, the guy who was measuring him was rude because my husband wasn’t comfortable with the way the guy was making the suit fit. He literally told my husband, «Fine Burger King, have it your way.» Rude and ignorant comment instead of dealing with my husband’s concerns in a customer service-​oriented manner. He obviously wasn’t informed that HIS job is to make each and every person feel good about what they are wearing/​how it fits. When my husband went the day before the wedding to pick up his suit, the buttons were falling off the vest. Unacceptable. That should have been taken care of prior to pick-​up. Not to mention the groom’s brother didn’t even have his suit in the day before the wedding which was ridiculous since he had to make another trip back to the store from Zachary on the day of the wedding, and the wedding took place in St. Francisville. The bride and groom were treated rudely when they called about the multitude of issues and instead of the sales associates offering any and every solution to make things right, they insisted that «these things happen» and that it wasn’t their fault. I’m sorry but when you are in the business of renting out tuxedos for important events and people are shelling out a pretty penny for said tuxedos, these things SHOULD NOT be happening. The staff needs to be re-​trained on how to deal with customers or find another job where you don’t have to deal with people. The issues that came up would not have been that big of a deal had they been dealt with appropriately.

It’s your average tuxedo rental place. I rented tuxedos from them for my wedding. Some of the groomsmen were measured incorrectly but atleast they could squeeze into their shirts! They will measure someone even if they aren’t renting the actual tuxedo from Squires. Why my review has 3 stars is for 2 reasons: because they offer a free limo with tuxedo rentals for a wedding… well long story short, it wasn’t free and caused just a little problem after my wedding. Secondly, I don’t think the dressing room areas are the cleanest. One room is filled with storage boxes.
