If I could give less than one star I would. This walmart is rediculous. The selection of items is bleak and the prices are higher here than 5 miles down the road. Really? The staff looks half dead and lacks any personality. Be prepared for your food to thaw or go warm before you can check out. There are NEVER enough lines open and the cashiers have no idea how to bag nor any ambition to do so in a timely manner. I went to a line that had a light on figuring that’s what your supposed to do right? Wrong. It’s a friggin free-for-all. The closed line next to us in fact had a cashier who checked 5 customers out while I waited with my groceries melting. Get it together people.

It’s a Walmart that’s open 24⁄7. What do ya want. I use it to browse a large selection of Whatever before ordering things off Amazon

Sale Fail: My mother is a Diet Coke addict. I’m always getting her six packs of the Diet Coke bottles. Several weeks back, Walmart dropped their six pack price from $ 3.00 to $ 2.50. I figured it wouldn’t last and I was right. Yesterday, I was in the Walmart on College and took a picture. It shows the price back UP to $ 3.00. But imagine my surprise when Walmart is actually claiming it is a price«rollback» from $ 3.48. Really people? You jack up the price and claim it is a price rollback!!! Must be that Common Core math at work. Today I was in the Walmart on Mall Dr. and saw their Diet Cokes were still $ 2.50. So I took a picture for this review and stocked up. Little did I know I would need it when I checked out as the computer charged me $ 3.00 a six pack. I showed the checkout lady the picture and she charged me $ 2.50. Get your act together Walmart. It’s not cool to raise prices and call it a rollback. It also sucks when you don’t charge your customers the marked price on merchandise.

Getting my oil changed at Walmart. What I like is I’m not being up sold services I don’t need. Went to Iffy Lube with a Gxoupon last oil change. They may as well offer to sell a new vehicle. And worse Iffy Lube didn’t put back what they took off my vehicle. I’m here early at Walmart so don’t expect the wait to be long. Not the cheeriest employees but what you expect. Better than a fake smile and an empty wallet. Change on the length of time. Been here over an hour.

«It’s a Wal-Mart, what more can I say»? This Wal-Mart is probably one of the better ones in town. I am always pleasantly greeted by someone at the door and thanked, when I leave. Customer service for Wal-Mart locations in Baton Rouge don’t have the best rap sheet. This store has always been organized and the employees are a bit more helpful here than other ones I have been to. How often do I visit a Wal-Mart? it’s a rarity these days, unless I am desperate. I don’t think the prices here are all that great nor do I think the quality is anything to write home about. The bottom line is, I am not a fan of Wal-Mart. I feel out-of-place each time I walk into this store. I compare all Wal-Mart stores to the ones in Hawaii and Canada because those were some of the best I have seen.

One of the largest Walmart I have been to. This store has a great cosmetic selection. Produce area looked nice. Floors were clean. In a good area.

I was a recent visitor to this WalMart from Austin, Texas. This store seem to be filled with attitude. My uncle, from PA, tried to get $ 100 that was sent to him via WalMart’s Money Center. He had an expired PA driver’s license(he no longer drives) and a valid U.S. VA id. The clerk would not accept his id stating that he needs a state issued driver’s license or state id. SHE added that the VA id didn’t had an expiration date when in fact it does. Anyway, after talking with customer service mgr Desiree, who politely restated (w/o the attitude) the store policy we left. Upon leaving the store I noticed a sign saying acceptable id include military id. I guess VA id do not qualify in Baton Rouge, LA but do in Killeen, Tx.

Worst Walmart ever!!! All 4 employees I talked to were nothing but rude. Seemed like they just don’t care. Never go back there again.

I give it 2 stars because they have what I need, however, worst Walmart ever. I know the lines at Walmart never move but seriously we’ve been in line to check out for 45 minutes and haven’t moved at all. Every lane in exactly the same and haven’t moved either. Get it together! There are 4 lanes(double than normal) and all the self check outs are open and probably less customers than Walmart employees working yet we are moving at slower than a snails pace.

This is what it is — its a wal Mart and the usual expectations of good and bad come along with it — I write this while waiting to check out on a Saturday afternoon where lines are long and baskets are full —we expect and accept this because prices are usually competitive/lower and your basics are available and often times there is a selection for them. Today is no exception as almost everything I want I found and prices are competitive. I am glad I filled my basket up as well since I would not want to wait in line with less than 5 items Following dan m’s suggestion I bought no meAt here today

Pretty sure I’m a member of a gang just from walking through here. I’ve been to many countries and I can honestly say Baton Rouge has the rudest people per capita I have ever found in my life. And apparently they all shop at this Walmart.

The world would be a better place without Walmart. I regret it everytime I have to go to one. A jack-of-all-trades master of none conglomerate of «stuff». Everyone of them has seemed to outgrow its own ability to run itself effectively. This store is not exception: twenty registers, only 3 open.

I really shouldn’t have come here… I just can’t handle it. Maybe if I was on a million xanax that would help? No probably not. I don’t even feel like talking about the majority of things that bothered me because this store drains me. I’ll just say my biggest complaint. I’ve never seen lines so long at any register in the universe. The lines were starting to curl. Literally only 3 registers were open when they have 20. I know they have self check out but that was full too. I waited to get checked out for what felt like years. I could go on and on but I think I’ll stop here.

Whatever amusing stereotypes from the locals to the employees you might have for mediocre Walmart locations worldwide, they might just be in their finest form here at this Walmart along North Mall. And for the many who clown these mega stores all day, there are equally as many if not more folks who are here to maximize their almighty bang for their buck. And yes, Baton Rouge is no exception. From candy to booze to toiletries, it’s all at basement level prices that could get lower from week to week. I’ve gotten a handful of Tiger gear items as well as the occasional six pack for the home soirees of the house party kind. For the price and the inventory, that gets my 2 stars. Like many Super Walmarts, this location is also 24 hours. That draws in a late night cast of eerie characters, some of which consist of poor(and drunk) college students and then a creepier segment of the population that puts Honey Boo Boo in good company. For all the 5 – 6 locations in Baton Rouge, this one is the most skeevy. Know of the late night parking ruckus of spilled over shopping carts and odd parking from the one on College( )? It also happens here too. I haven’t had a lot of great luck with the employees unfortunately. If it’s not the clueless guy regarding aisle inventory, it’s the grumper cashier who might be slower at scanning my items than I am stacking them on the conveyor. All this while a mini line tends to form behind me(or unless someone is ahead of me) and due to a skeleton like crew … during the middle of the day. Thankfully, I’ve got a secret weapon. We call it: self-check out. Take that subpar customer service!

I heart Super Walmarts… especially when I’m traveling and need to get a variety of things. Aisles and aisles of stuff… produce, t-shirts, advil, meat, toys… you want it, they’ve got it. Very friendly employees, as well. Lots of registers were also open… making check out very painless. Standard Walmart prices… sales everywhere. Overall…great go to Walmart whether you’re a local or just visiting.

Welcome to Walmart. Don’t buy the meat! I come here for a lot of staples(Yoplait Lite is only 50 cents as opposed to 70 at my local Albertsons), but never buy the meat. I think it was Sam Walton that said«Give a man a cow and he’ll eat for a month. Pump that cow up with a bazillion steroids and growth hormones, breed it with other ‘roided cattle, crowd them in giant holding pens, forcing them to live and breathe in their own excrement, haul them off to inhumane slaughter… and I’M RICH B*TCH!» Walmart does have good prices on bikes and pool toys too.

This Wal-Mart is a total dump! When I was moving into my new house, I was going daily to the Target. I thought I would mix it up and see what the W-M had to offer. It was a total mess. Poor selection, higher priced that Target, dirty, messy, badly organized. I got so frustrated with the store that after an hour of shopping I just walked away from a full cart. I wont be shopping there again.

Typical Wal-Mart store, has everything you need. Nothing particularly special or fancy about it, for me, I was able to pick up an Armitron Watch for $ 20 and develop some photos for cheap. Basics like shampoo, soap, are easy to find here too.
