Delicious German food, almost all house-made(down to the salad dressing!). Lots of tasty beers, many of which have delightfully punny names(like the Kenny Lager and the Gose Like Swayze). I got a Bavarian Pretzel with mustard, a Knockwurst with sauerkraut, and a beer flight with the Battle Creek Lager, Big Yellow Truck, Optimus Lime, and Samsquamch Block Party — and it was a fantastic meal. I’d love to come back here during one of their events, rather than a quiet lunch, but maybe that’s just me. 5⁄5 stars, highly recommend.

Food is amazing here. So is the craft beer collection. If you’re in Battlecreek, this place is a must-visit, must-have food stuff with sports playing on the TVs. Foods are German-inspired. My fiancé(with German heritage) & I were very impressed & surprised with the quality & variety of food they offer even being in this small town. 100% recommend.

I like this place! Small brewer in an industrial area. German theme with delicious sausage. Beer is good but not awesome. The menu however is inspired. Came with a group and had an assortment of menu items. All were well prepared and looked good. Sausage sampler with sautéed onions and kraut was fantastic! Their in house mustard was great and horseradish sauce was terrific. Quirky place that I will revisit when in the area!

Great find! Only wished we’d found it sooner! Loved the food — the pretzel was AMAZING with the beer cheese and the maple mustard. Mac n Cheese — Yum! Best of the Wurst and the Döner Kebab were all fantastic. You can sample the beer and find your favorite before you commit to a glass. Food was a little slow to come out(we did have a large group) which is the ONLY reason why this isn’t 5 stars. Wish you had a Houston location!

Really nice place. Small, cozy and not overwhelming. Food was good. I had the Brahms in E minor burger. Very yummy. Also had a side of kale slaw. OMG!!! GETIT!!! It was so good I was still eating it after I was full. The waiter was very helpful and willing to help me in my beer choice. Even offered samples and suggestions.

Great German style beer and excellent food. I recently joined the mug cub. You have a choice of 1 liter or ½ liter, except for the high gravity beers that are limited to ½ liter at a time. My favorite beers are the BC Lager, Dopplebock and the Three Nancies Maibock that just came out. Best of these styles I have ever had. Charles, the owner and Tim the brewer are very outgoing, friendly and willing to talk beer and answer your questions. The kitchen staff turns out great food, and the wait staff is very friendly. One of my 4 favorite breweries of all time! Chuck Gibson

We look forward to visiting this dynamic brewery every time. The food specials are always delicious and no other beer compares to what they create! So glad you’re in Battle Creek — you’ve put us back on the map.

I’m über impressed with the taste of the 70% gluten removed beer at territorial Brewing. I didn’t think it would taste good and I was really surprised. I also had a blast there during karaōke night because the DJ actually plays guitar while you sing. Not only that but the whole crowd seemed to be into it instead of it being a bother it was something that people were there for. I don’t find that in most karaōke spots. Even the owner got up to sing a song too. It was a fun night. I only tried the chili cheese fries and they were delicious. I would like to definitely try more of their German food soon. The service was top-notch as well. I wish I could remember the name of our server but it has escaped me. He was there on last tuesdays karaōke night so if he reads this I hope he gets credit.

Outstanding beer and German style food. I was fortunate enough to get a tour of brewery in back. I defiantly will be coming back. The schnitzel was outstanding. Could use a little more of the mushroom sauce.

The beer is good, but don’t miss the food. Try the schnitzel and get the mushroom sauce. It’s fantastic!

The beer here is awesome… couldn’t even wait to try the food to give it a 5 star rating. I try new breweries all the time, this has some of the best beer of any I’ve tried. Get a couple flights everything’s good. Update: Food was on par with the beer…5 Stars. I would say the beer here is better than any micro I’ve tried around Detroit… Atwater, Griffen Claw, Rochester Mills etc.

This place is a destination. My family and I were on a return trip from the Michigan state game. We were hungry and didn’t find what we were looking for at another brewery in Marshall. Territorial popped up first on my search and had good reviews, so we tried it. The German style was intriguing but the territorial burger is what caught my eye. The burger had angus, Chuck, rib ends, and brisket meat ground into it. From first bite to last it was one of the better burgers I’ve Had in a while. Make sure to add the Heidelberg mustard to the burger as well! The beer was pretty good as we got two flights(8 beers). I really enjoyed the leelou and dunkelweizen beers and would consider taking a growler to go. I’ll be sure to make a return soon!

We had heard that Territorial Brewing had amazing German food so we made the short trip to Battle Creek to find out. The beer selection was a little on the small side but we were told that this is an ever fluctuating situation. Due to it’s moderate size different beers pop up and sell out before being replaced with new brews. Unless you are an incredible beer snob you will find a beer or two that will satisfy your palate. The food… wow! We had one of their pretzels with beer cheese. I could have drank the beer cheese alone it was so delicious. We had a sampling called, «Best of the Wurst» of bratwurst, knackwurst and other sausages and all were different and amazing. We also tried the schnitzel which was just the right balance of salty, breaded, moist and delicious. The sides all looked delicious but we went with the German potato salad which was awesome. We loved the German themed décor and interested descriptions on the menu. The night we were there they had live music which started part way through our visit. I think the music and noise level would increase the later into the evening you go. For a late lunch early dinner this place would be great for families and friends that want a chill place to drink tasty beer and eat even better food. I suspect that people seeking great beer, a fun atmosphere and good music will be happy here in the later evening. We will definitely make a return trip to Territorial Brewing Company.

The staff was extremely friendly and the food amazing! Enjoyed the pom Fritz… Perfectly cooked potatoes with amazing mushroom sauce! Curry beef in the sandwich was tender and full of flavor. The desserts were also absolutely yummy… Bread pudding was the perfect consistency and flavor as well as the fruit tart… To say the least belly fully and taste buds fully satisfied… And not mention the beer that is equally as great!!!

Came here for dinner since I live right around the corner. The website is a pain to look at through a mobile device. I found their FB page to look at the menu. Inside has a cool German décor, since I’m German I like it. I got the Wurst of the Best which was very good. The fries weren’t too bad and you can tell they are fresh cut and fried. My sons were over cooked but mine were just right. We found the only place that has Vernors on tap for pop!!! My son had a burger which he said was good. I will be back to try some more authentic German food.

Best staff you could ask for, great atmosphere, food, prices and karaōke. Tons of different beer styles for every flavor pallet. I loved it! Five stars, would do six if I could.

Came here specifically to try some food after only coming for drinks last time. Unfortunately, they were out of the pretzels and frankfurters, so we got the Mac and cheese with knackwurst. It was good! A good size for $ 5 + $ 2(sausage). Tasted real good, real cheesy too.

I’m going to put four stars down. My review here may fluctuate as I intend on going back and trying more of the menu. I came here because of the german food. I’m all about good german food. I ordered a side of spatzle which is a favorite of mine. I did not get it with the mushroom sauce which I will try next time. As far as the spatzle itself it was a bit less egg tasting than I like, and it was browned but not long enough and was not seasoned. This being said it was still good and I will try the mushroom sauce with it next time. I can not wait to try their wurst and explore the rest of the german menu. Beer was excellent and also mad my visit good. Can not wait to come back.

Overall a nice spot. Not an overproduction of the style they are trying to represent. Tried a beer flight and they were all very good. The beer menu seems to be revolving, so not sure what you’ll see, but the porter, Doppelbock, Rauchbier and altbier were all good beers. We had the pulled pork grilled cheese and the kasespatzle. The sandwich was tasty, the only thing was the bread was a little thin for the meat and cheese, so it was soggy by the end. The spatzle was good with the knackwurst. Just needed a little salt to carry it over. Now the«bad» part… The service is a little«off». Staff was courteous, but not friendly. Almost unwelcoming, but maybe that’s just me. And the food came in paper trays, mine lined with aluminum foil. I guess I didn’t expect street food service. Pretty good food, deserving of a better presentation.

I lived in Battle Creek from 2004 to 2007 and had seen this location be a variety of restaurants. I was excited to hear that it was now a part of the southwest Michigan beer scene. I happened to be driving from Kalamazoo back to Canton and decided to stop. The inside of the restaurant isn’t huge. I was greeted quickly and shown to a table. They have a couple of very large picnic type tables that could seat several groups/couples and then smaller tables around that. The menu is primarily German food. If you eat here, expect to pick from a variety of sausages and bratwursts of multiple sorts in addition to spatzel, sauerkraut, german pretzels, trout, and other German delights. I did also notice a couple of burger options. I ended up ordering a bratwurst. It was delicious. Not too salty and not too fatty. The bun was nice and hearty. It came with sauerkraut and I asked for it on the side. It was also excellent. Here comes my first gripe. The brat didn’t come with anything. Not even a couple of potato chips or a german dill pickle. I am not a big beer drinker, so I can’t thoroughly comment on beer other than I asked for the lightest type of beer they have and really enjoyed what I had. They have several darker beers as well and you can get a flight and try a little bit of everything. My second gripe is the lighting. The light fixtures are funky and cool, but they don’t produce a lot of actual light. I found it very hard to read the menu. Overall, it’s a great place to stop and enjoy a good beer and good food. I wish them a lot of luck and I am sure I will visit again!
