The Spa Hopper Movers

I debated giving a 2 or 3 as the initial service was great but the follow-​up was lacking. We purchased a used spa from Kevin at the Contra Costa County Fair. We were very happy with the price and quality of the spa and he delivered it very quickly. He offered a 6 month warranty. When we first encountered an issue he promptly resolved it. However, when we encountered the next issue we had to follow-​up multiple times with him and he has resolved the issue and our 6 month warranty is over. In summary, his delivery services are excellent but don’t count on the warranty if you purchase a used spa from him.

I can’t say enough good things about Kevin and his customer service skills. Initially, I called several spa movers for quotes; however, Kevin was the most reasonably priced and very professional. He explained the costs in detail, was on time for the pickup and delivery to my home. Also, he suggested to the previous owner to give us the GFI box which saved us $ 200 in electrical parts.
After we got the electrical hooked up the spa at our home, the GFI breaker kept tripping. We decided to call Kevin to see if maybe there was a an additional switch we didn’t know about, and he offered to come out to our home to look at it the same day we called. He was able to determine that a couple of the wires on the GFI box were switched and saved us $$$ by not having to hire an electrician to troubleshoot the problem. Yay, our spa now works!

I have seen many professionals at work but Kevin took the tasks of moving our hot to a whole other level. I am a skeptic and prefer to do things myself but when our 900 pound hot tub showed up I was out of my league. I spent three days trying to figure out how to squeeze this mammoth of a tube through the side yard over 200 feet of unstable dirt. When Kevin showed up I had my doubts he could do it, but within moments of seeing him work I felt demasculated. His attention to detail and careful precision had the hot tub in place in no time at all. He not only moved the spa but was a wealth of knowledge for first time tub owners. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a spa moved. Thanks Kevin for moving our tub and not damaging anything, I am sure my five friends and I would have trashed the house. Thanks! James

I needed someone to move my hot tub from Concord to Petaluma so I came to Unilocal to help me. Unilocal did not let me down! I got a reasonable quote to move the spa from Concord to Petaluma. I asked Kevin how much extra he would charge to move the current spa to the side yard to put the new one in that spot and he said no charge since he was already there! The boyfriend dealt with Kevin in person and said he was professional and clearly knew what he was doing. I would recommend Kevin with 5 stars!

Kevin removed our old spa and surround a couple of weeks ago. It wasn’t an easy job but he did it without leaving a trace. His quote was competitive and he showed up when he said he would. I definitely would recommend Kevin if you need to move, install or remove a hot tub.

Kevin did a very good job moving my jacuzzi from Walnut Creek to Concord. He has the right equipment and experience to accomplish his job. And most of all, very professional.

Prompt, honest and a great guy to work with. Kevin moved our old hot tub out with absolutely no problems. He has specialized equipment just for moving hot tubs and it was very interesting to see him work. He really knows what he’s doing.

Kevin scheduled an appointment for today at 10:30. He was a no show, so I called him, and he said he was afraid to come out the mountain road because he was afraid he’d break down. What a timid guy. Least he could have done was called and canceled the appointment. Bad business sense. Beware!

Kevin just moved a spa for me today from a friend’s house to mine and he did it quickly, all by himself and for a fair price! He also has a great personality and is very informative on all things spa-​related. If you are in need of a spa move, look no further than The Spa Hopper! Kevin is awesome. He moved a hot spring hot tub for us from Shingle Springs to Lincoln, CA and had previously moved a hot tub from Santa Rosa to Vacaville, CA. He works really hard, has great honest prices and goes above and beyond. Highly Recommend him!!!

Kevin helped me move a hot tub from a friends house in Green Valley to rural North Vacaville. I was expecting four Samoans to pull up. I was a little concerned when Kevin pulled up alone, but quickly realized he worked using his brain and not brawn.
Kevin moved a 7’X7’ hot tub over challenging terrain of dirt and bark through a narrow side yard.
One thing I was very happy about was Kevin was very delicate with the tub. All his lifts and lowering were done with a large air bag wedge that he would gently manuever the tub with. Very ingenious.
I would highly recommend this service over trying to do this job yourself. Took Kevin a little over an hour from first meeting him to him placing the tub at the second location. 5 stars for sure.

If you need a spa moved or disposed of, as in my case, just call Kevin. I contacted a few companies but came back to Spa Hopper based on their thoroughness, professionalism and knowledge.
While the other guys just quoted a quick price and pushed for an appt, Kevin shared info as to how he would handle the job, what issues we might encounter depending on the condition of my spa and how much he would charge me. In fact, he came out to assess the project and provided me with a high degree of comfort around his plan and in him personally while confirming the price (which was very reasonable).
It was a no-​brainer for me and Kevin got to work right away. He was professional, respectful of my property and cleaned up after he was done. We even had to relocate my shed in order to get the spa down the side of my house, which he helped move back and forth without question.
Kevin went above and beyond, did an awesome job of moving my spa single-​handedly and was a great guy to chat with personally.

I needed someone to remove our old hot tub and gazebo. A friend of mine recommended Kevin from the Spa Hopper. I called him and we set a date and time right away. He hauled away the hot tub and gazebo, power washed the area and cleaned up. He did a great job. Thank you, Kevin!

I’m so glad I hired Kevin to remove our old hot tub. I should have done it a year and half ago when we bought the house. Kevin’s a pro! He showed up right on-​time and got the job done quicklly. He even came back to do a thorough power-​washing of not only the spa footprint but the surounding area. I feel like we have a new side-yard…Awesome guy, awesome service!

Kevin was easy to work with, fast and handled the spa without damage. Worth every penny and very reasonably priced. He moved my spa about 25 miles with ease.

Kevin is truly amazing! If you want someone that uses brains instead of brawn, then he is your man. The move had a tricky spot, and he took extra time to do things right. He didn’t want extra money, even though he spent a great deal of extra time. We paid him more anyway; he totally deserved it. It is rare that service people seem to actually love what they do, but this was the case with Kevin. He worked hard and fast, and you can tell that he was always thinking about potential problems. He also took extra time to help us understand electrical issues.
We used Kevin based solely on Unilocal reviews and because he was more reasonably priced in comparison to other movers. Believe all these great reviews! He is REALLY good at what he does.

Kevin is great. Showed up early. Extremely professional. Very efficient. This guy knows how to do everything perfectly. Has very unique tools that made it clear he moves tubs all the time. Took good care to prevent any damage. He even stayed late to help my electrician pull some wire that needed an extra hand. He just offered as a neighbor would to help and didn’t ask for any more money at all, but I did pay him more.
He also had the BEST price anywhere. Not often you get top quality for the lowest price! He’s the guy.

I HATE calling out for services. Cars, home repairs, service and maintenance, etc. I HATE it because I’ve had so many bad experiences. Shoddy work, no attention to detail, and general unprofessionalism. Unilocal for me is a Godsend.
Based on the reviews here, I called three spa movers. I’m in the East Bay, so The Spa Hopper made the most sense and actually gave me the best vibe on the phone so I scheduled an appointment to have a spa moved from my parents house to my house (about a 5 mile move.) Kevin showed up a few minutes early and they strategized a bit, then with a little science and technique had the spa out very quickly — It was sitting on a deck with a narrow stairway and tight corner around the side of the house. They carefully loaded it, moved it to my house, and set it exactly where I wanted it. Kevin answered a bunch of my spa related questions too and was very knowledgeable. Thanks for the advise too!

This was the smartest money I ever spent! Kevin was on time (even though I called him at the last minute). He was very friendly and worked fast. He was in and out in about an hour.
