horrible don’t use caution!!! took a long time to get to me and I the person exactly where I and then the guy said he went in another direction and didn’t run the meter which i hate because i feel like they over charge when they do this.. car was also messy don’t ride with them horrible experience

No one has mentioned (yet) in any of the previous reviews that these people specialized in *medical transport* — They have a large van with a wheelchair lift, and several vehicles at their disposal for all your transportation needs — specifically specializing in medical transport.
As far as I know, no one else is doing this in the tri-​city delta area at all.
(Tri-​City is Bay Point, Pittsburg and Antioch).
I used to work here! I worked here for about 9 months after moving back to the area where I grew up — East Bay 94 520. I had lived away for more than 5 years, and I felt this was an excellent opportunity for me to get involved in the local community that raised me since I was 5 years old. The owners were very personable and welcoming to me. Sometimes, at the end of the workweek, if business was slow that week, they noticed that I didn’t make as much that week as expected, and they would endure it with me, invite me for dinner, and treat me as their own neighbor. One time we even went on a fun trip up to Lake Tahoe with a group from their church. Those little things are what I remember from working here, besides all the stories I shared together with the customers, who I transported back and forth, to/​from the Pittsburg BART station, the local hospitals, and the many apartment complexes in the Delta Tri-​City area.
I’ve since moved on and went to work elsewhere, but I still remember my time here, and the people who helped me get back on my feet, and get my life back together.
Get to know the dispatchers, and form a relationship with the people who operate this business. These are good people, who will invest a portion of their profit back into the local community. I’m not sure there are other taxi services in the area who are doing that. It’s a real-​time, fast-​paced business, and everyone is trying to save a buck or two. At least these people invest a small part of it back. I can only speak for myself and what they’ve done for me.

I been a loyal customer to United taxi for about 2 years now. Recently started riding with them more often than usual. They are always in time. I make sure I call 20 minutes prior, giving them reasonable time to be on time. You can’t expect to call a cab and have them at your door in 5 minutes. I addition to that, I always make it to my destination on time, cab drivers are really polite and have good customer service skills. Jessi, in particular is a very humble man who I can always rely on, very sweet and handles his business in such a timely manner and is always polite to me, I call him my guardian angel. Harold, is a very friendly man as well, can also brighten my day ! Bob, he’s such a genuine man, can get you to your destination in no time, makes sure you feel prioritized and gives you nothing to worry about. Overall, United is a reliable cab business!

Terrible… How terrible that three unreliable companies run this business. Time quoted is never correct. Have been late to work because of this. If you are picking up food or manking a train forget about it. Called to cancel and they tell me that my cab is outside and have been waiting… as I’m standing outside and nothing. So frustrating to have them show up 20 mins to 40 mins after time quoted… They pick up and drop off people on the route to get you so ALWAYS expect delays. I use alliance and concord cab company now. much better service. I know it will be 20 – 25 mins so I call it ahead of time… That simple

As a former employee of this agency, please take note that it was a pleasure to move on to my more compatible area of expertise, as it should have been. Anyway, I drove for United for approximately 2 months [during the Christmas /​New year Season– 2014 /​15]. I worked a scheduled six day week, but during my last day of work, which I agreed to work on a scheduled day off TO HELP THEM. I was so disrespected, that I contemplated ambushing the owners, their families, and their dispatchers; which was totally out of character for me, and definitely contrary to my spiritual beliefs. But I had been pushed to the brink, by the disrespectful idiot that poses as a co-​owner, and is unfortunately married to the only competent employee in the agency. This nincompoop «Ed» I suspect is screwing every female employee in the place, so he decides to support a dispatcher, who had gotten pick-​up information ass –backwards, then wanted me to correct the problem by ditching /​abandoning a fare that I had already picked up and was transporting. «Just pull over, and tell the guys to get out of the cab, then go and retrieve another fare» [that was not at the Amtrak when I accommodated my current passengers] was the solution to the misinformation she provided me with. I refused [of course]. Then I was contacted by Whoremongering «Ed», and told that I WOULD oust my current passengers, and follow the directions of the dispatcher, who was rude, and disregarded the fact that #1). I’m not a child, and you WILL NOT speak to me any kind of way, #2). I try to be a fair person, and would not EVER kick a passenger out of my cab to correct someone’s incompetence, and #3 I’m working on my DAY OFF to HELP YOUR AGENCY.
Now, this is not he first run-​in I’ve had with Ed. We’ve locked horns before when he bothched numerous addresses that he dispatched [probably while under the influence]…So, here ol’ Ed is referring to me as «son», when I am old enough — and capable of beating the brakes off his ass; and refusing to address me more respectfully when I asked him to. So, I ended that shift and my employment that evening… And prayed that I would never carry out what I am a SUCCESSFUL and EFFECTIVE SPECIALIST at doing; because Ed, his family or agency employees are not worth me having to repent about.
However, I urge anyone who would like above-​board professional taxi services to go elsewhere.

I was pressed for time. My ride didn’t show up and I needed to get to the Bart station fast… I called a couple Taxi Services but no one answered 5am in the morning; but they did! His name was Bill. He was professional and humble on the phone to answer my questions and he said I had a cancelation it can get you; so he took my info down and he was on his way. Granted because it was heavily raining I was giving him the benefit of the doubt that he may take a few extra minutes. However, when arrived he was quite flustered because his GPS and blue tooth was malfunctioning. He greeted and we were off… He explained that the traffic was heavy and he will take a few back roads for quicker access. That’s fine however, knowing we had carpool I wanted to take the chance on the freeway. He thought he knew better but after my persistence he got on… we didn’t talk much because apparently he was doing dual roles as a dispatcher and and and … that he started to drive slower and NOT get on the Carpool lane. Ughh! He finally seen I was getting agitated and moved to the following lane. What was the kicker is that with all his dual roles he was playing driving; Bill utterly forgot to put the meter on And wanted to approximate my fare from my house!!! WTH It will about $ 28.50 Ummmm… No that’s not my fault nor my job to remember a Taxi’s responsibility!!! Period! He was quite so to speak afterwards… and when we finally arrived to the Bart he was so preoccupied on the phone with other people that I was so done! I said Bill thanks for picking up your phone but this entire ride was something I will never forget! And he barely said by… By the way this was my first Taxi ride… never again!!!

They’re never on time. They say «It’ll be wo minutes» they mean an hour. Plus they charge you the out of town rate because they have to come from a neighboring city – or so they say;. Better off saying «To hell with it» and buying a pogo stick.

If you are not a regular customer who knows someone don’t even try. As for the two 1 star reviews before me, it shows exactly what I’ve experienced. Poor communication, have you waiting and waiting before someone finally arrives and I’ve seen how they don’t care about they’re drivers, just about making at least the 10 dollar minimum even if your ride only costs 6 dollars.
For example. I waited 45 min even though I was told someone was on their way. Called back and was told they would call back after waiting over 30 min and was never called back. So I had to call just to be told by someone else again «oh, they’re right on their way». And when the driver picked me up I asked and was told that they had just called my call in 5 minutes before!
Trying to get to Bart I was pretty much forced to wait since I didn’t know how long another company was going to take. Repeatedly being told someone was on their way. A husband and wife apparently own this company and deal with all the communication from calls to drivers. Doing a horrible job at keeping track of who calls and when. Only making sure they get their 10 dollar minimum regardless if you would like to tip.
I’ll never call this unorganized company again. And if you’re ever in a hurry, do yourself a favor and don’t trust this company either because they’ll just keep telling you, «someone is on their way».

Did not call Yellow Cab due to reviews. I called United. They answered right away and were very friendly. Explained how to set things up even at 4AM for a trip to the local BART station. Would recommend them all they way.

We contacted United Taxi TWO WEEKS prior to the date we needed a taxi to get us to the first BART train, so we could get to the airport on time to make a flight. We called the night prior to verify and were assured that a taxi would arrive at 5:30 am promptly. At 5:35, when there was no taxi, we called again. The dispatcher acted like it was the first time they had ever heard from us. A taxi finally arrived at 5:50. The driver had to ask US for directions, then took the longest possible route to BART. Needles to say, we missed our train. Never again.

I have been a customer of United Taxi for a while now. Their service and assistance is phenomenal!!! This company literally saved my life when I called requesting assistance to the emergency room during rush hour. I know they must have shifted me to the top of some form of priority list because they picked me up from home less than 10 minutes after my call. The driver was polite and extremely help, taking short cuts and side roads to get me to ER expeditiously. He even helped me in a wheelchair. I’m amazed, grateful, and blessed to be alive. I didn’t have hundreds of dollars to pay and wait for an ambulance. I only had to pray and call United Taxi! I appreciate this company and their compassion for their clients! On one of my many trips to Pittsburg, I had been dropped off in the morning by United Taxi and let them know I needed a 3pm pick up. They were so considerate of my time that when the car that was supposed to pick me up had been unexpectadly delayed, the owner of the company used her own car to pick me up right on time.
I have been using United Taxi for the last several months since I have regular business in Pittsburg and the surrounding areas. They are very friendly and have always been on time and exactly where they promised to be. Finding a reliable taxi service can often be a gamble, but not with United Taxi.
