History

Established in 2013.

Dr. Abraham Sleem attended St. John’s University in Queens, NY with a dual major in Chemistry and Computer Science and graduated a 4.0 GPA at the top of his class in 2002 whence he was awarded with the President’s Medal of Excellence on graduation.

After obtaining his B.S., he attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, where he also participated in glaucoma research and developed computer software for studies that aided in the understanding of earlier detection of glaucoma using newer technologies.

Dr. Sleem completed his Ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical Center where he was distinguished as the Chief Resident for his graduating year. During that time Dr. Sleem participated in research involving earlier detection of Keratoconus and post-​LASIK ectasia.

Subsequently, Dr. Abraham Sleem was selected for a Corneal and Refractive Fellowship with the acclaimed Robert Schultze, MD and Robert Eden, MD where he trained in advanced anterior segment surgery.
