Dr. Bruinings takes good care of her patients, and staff members in the office are friendly and nice. Dr. Bruinings always gave me a phone call after she got any result of lab or diagnostic test even it came out as normal. It’s a bit hard to make an appointment with her in the morning time or same day. One tip to make an appointment for sooner days is call them a day before the visit, and ask them if there is any cancellation for next day appointment. It works most of times. Waiting time is okay most of time, but it can be longer than what you expected. I really love there Patient Portal where I can access to see my next appointment, lab results, and etc. All of my family including my parents are Dr. Bruinings patients, and I would recommend Dr. Bruinings to my friends.

I’ve been going to dr Bruinings for several years now. When I first started seeing her at the flushing office, it was a nightmare with the scheduling and she would quickly see you and rush off. I thought I’d never see her again but I gave her another try when she moved to bayside and it was very convenient for me to get there. Much better! You have to get to know her quirkiness and she will grow on you. She’s still very quick so make sure u come prepared with your questions, but u can always Send her an email. She is not the warm fuzzy type but that’s ok. Her front office def needs improvement and training to be more professional. There is always someone new every time I go. Wonder if that’s a sign. I like her online portal site. It’s so convenient to check your appts, medical records and messaging the doctor. She is very good and prompt at replying back to your messages! Also her new location is on bell and 35^th Ave.

This doctors office is the worst office i’ve ever been to. First off the wait is ridiculously long. I waited for more than an hour. Which I don’t understand because you shouldn’t be booking patients like that if your doctors obviously cant see the patients according to the time scheduled. Its okay for doctors to spend more time with the patient but if that’s the case they should be making the appointment duration longer for each patient. Also, when I made the appointment I thought I would be seeing the doctor. However, they decided to switch me off to see the PA without my consent. Then, I had a bad cough so I asked the PA if I should take a chest x-​ray because I thought I had bronchitis but she said it was okay and how the cough would go away. So a month later (now) I got another doctor to prescribe me the xray and found out that I do have bronchitis… so I called them back and told them what happened and asked them if they can prescribe me antibiotics. But they said that I had to come back into the office and see the doctor again. I don’t understand why I have to come in again when its obviously their fault for being so ignorant and I don’t want to have to waste an hour (or more) of my time sitting at their office just to get some antibiotics. This doctor absolutely doesn’t give two cents about anyone’s problems and is very inconsiderate so I will not be returning to this office and I will be telling my friends, family, and acquaintances about this awful place. I do not recommend anyone looking for a pcp/​family doctor to go to this office unless you’re looking to waste your time and energy for a b. s 10 minute consultation. & btw if you’re reading this Dr. Bruinings or staff just know that you guys should reflect on your incompetence, ignorance and the way that you mange your office. Patients should be treated with care which cannot be found at your office.- Vivian Y.

Horrible first experience booking an appointment.
The receptionist should really learn to take phone calls better. She was so inefficient and talked in such an informal matter. It was extremely rude and condescending even though she sounded a lot younger than me.
