Was expecting a nice steak dinner, was disappointed with the ribeye. for the price, it was not worth it. Salad was nothing but lettuce, loaded baked potatoes was just butter and cheese, the ribeye was full of gristle

It’s located in an old part of Baytown near the railroad tracks. My husband and I went inside, and Frieda, one of the owners, showed us around. The people are very friendly. Some of them have worked here for more than 25 years. After seeing a menu, we ordered. The food is great, the portions are generous, and the price reasonable for a sit-​down restaurant. The waitress kept our glasses full. We will definitely return. The atmosphere is wonderful – I’ve always liked to go to buffets, but I think that food prepared by happy employees tastes better. This is a business that should be supported. I never want to see this place close down!

The meat is great: we ordered the rib-​eye steak, 12oz of juicy goodness. It came with a baked potato and baked beans. The appetizer sampler was the standard deep fried fare and I wish I had not ordered it. Just go for the steak.
The building has clearly grown over the years, starting probably as a meat market, and slowly adding room after room to accommodate more patrons. The tablecloths are red and white, and the flatware does not necessarily match. The décor is truly Texan! There is a wall shrine for John Wayne, with cow skulls and a rifle, and a wide array of ranch-​inspired «art».
If you are in the area, this place is worth the 10 minute drive from I-​10, and I am sure it beats going for a steak at Outback any day.
