The Red Tent Dance Studio

Rosa, the owner of the Red Tent Dance Studio, is an absolute Dance Whisper! A few weeks back, I took my adult disabled sister to meet Rosa. My sister, who lives with physical, mental and language disabilities, does not always warm to new people or new environments. From the first moment we walked into the door of the Red Tent she was transformed — dancing, smiling, laughing and making eye contact with Rosa. I cried tears of joy through much of the first session!
Rosa has a beautiful way of moving beyond the constraints of my sister’s challenges to communicate with her through music and dance. She intuitively follows my sister, changing the tempo, music and activity when needed to keep the sessions engaging and fun! The rhythm instruments, scarves, fans and costumes all add to the amazing relationship Rosa is building with my sister.
I can not say enough positive things about this caring, giving woman and her dedication to individuals who face the world with differences. I am grateful to have found Rosa and her world of dance! Dancing at the Red Tent is now a weekly event!

My daughter (3) takes dance class here. It is so wonderful and positive for her. The ladies do a great job with the kids, they have so much fun! I love the positive energy and music they play. I highly recommend this for your child!

After the birth of my first baby, I was in rough shape. I started taking classes with Rosa and Vieve and not only did my body start resembling its pre-​pregnancy state, I felt stronger and more beautiful than ever before.
The studio is beautifully decorated and they have lots of class options from beginner, prenatal/​postpartum, and even a toddler movement class. I am so happy that we have a dance studio in Los Osos.

The staff here is wonderful! Rosas costume closet is so fun. Great classes for people of all levels.

The Red Tent dance studio has forever changed the way that I think about world fusion dance– and all from one class! The moves were simple but the instructor weaved them together to create a fun and exquisite dancing experience! I want to take all of my friends and dance all around! (The atmosphere was warm and community friendly… while still being physically challenging) I had a fabulous time using the costumes/​scarves to flow along to the music– I will definitely be back!
