We provide a high level of professional architectural services that seek to improve both the private and public realm. We seek clients that also want these services and we develop those relationships. The services we provide are based on the client’s programmatic needs as well as a mutual respect for the design process which is by nature a creative process. We allow the program and the site to help inform the architectural solutions and listen carefully to our client’s needs. In this role our firm is more a conductor of the process allowing all the parts to play a role that is vital and leads to a greater whole.

History

Established in 2012.

J.C. Calderon is the owner of Calderon Architecture & Design, located in the city of Beacon in New York’s historic Hudson Valley. The firm’s office and design studio moved from Lexington Avenue in New York City to the Hudson Valley in 2011. We are design oriented architects licensed in NY & NJ specializing in commercial & high end residential projects and construction management. We listen carefully to our client’s needs. Client satisfaction through added property value and design excellence is one of our main goals. A good referral for us is anyone that needs the services of a licensed architect for a construction budget of $ 200,000 — $ 800,000. A great referral is anyone looking to build their dream project. As a member of the American Institute of Architects and a LEED accredited professional, we listen to our client’s dreams and translate them into reality.

J. C.

Business Owner

J.C. knew from the time he played with wooden blocks that he wanted to be an architect. Ultimately, he was chosen for scholarships to both Williams College and the Yale School of Architecture.

After graduating with his Masters in Architecture from Yale, he was part of leading firms in NYC, including Kohn, Pedersen, Fox; Calvin Klein; and Simmons Architects. J.C. gained experience not just in designing high-​concept buildings but also in making alterations to existing structures.

With an office in Beacon, NY, he provides services primarily in New York City and the Hudson Valley region.
