Unlike most traditional martial arts, our staff consists of exciting masters and instructors who are aware of their impact on their students. For this reason, we understand that it is important to go the extra mile to encourage and motivate our students. Our organization is very enthusiastic and passionate about using martial arts to create a fun, safe and friendly learning environment to teach students how to succeed in life.

Our classes range from ages 4 and up! Children, adults, and families are welcome to our school to experience the benefits of learning martial arts!

History

Established in 2015.

My Focus Taekwondo is led by Master Ben Monje with the help of his brother, Master Paul Monje, who have been training together for more than 23 years under the teachings of Grand Master Wung Hee Lee. Master Ben has been educating Taekwondo practitioners for over 15 years and Master Paul has been educating practitioners for 12 years.

Both of the brothers have experienced success in multiple high level tournaments nationally and internationally in competitive sparring. With their experience as elite level competitors and compassionate teachers, they have both help students improve in multiple areas of their life as well as guided several students to become top ranked fighters in the nation.

Business Owner

Since 1999 Master Ben has been teaching the benefits of Taekwondo to thousands of children adults within the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley. Parents view Master Ben not only as a martial arts teacher, but also as a dependable life coach who helps bring out the best in his students both inside and outside of Taekwondo. He has contributed his time to the community, through demonstrations at city events, speaking about schools, and by helping raise money for non-​profit organizations such as the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital.

Master Ben has also received many recognitions by Masters and Grandmasters as a respectable and dedicated Taekwondo Master who has devoted his time to the development of Taekwondo in California and the United States. Because of his charismatic leadership, Master Ben has helped organized and led many State and National events as an ambassador of Taekwondo.
