Three months ago, my husband and I came here on a Sunday morning. Nearly no one was in the restaurant, yet we were never approached by a server. After 20 minutes, we left.
My husband didn’t want to give it another shot, but I did. Tonight, we returned and got a great seat outside. The table was still filled with used plates and glasses, so we figured we grabbed it just after the previous customers left.
We had to wait nearly ten minutes for anyone to come clear the table. She never introduced herself, but only said someone would be over to help us soon. After ANOTHER ten minutes, no one showed up. Not even to say, «Hey, I’ll be with you in a minute!» Nothing. We saw servers pass by us regularly, but nobody stopped at our table.
After over twenty minutes, we left… again. We’re in disbelief that we had the same experience both times we gave this place a shot. As we left today, we considered sitting at the bar, where we knew we’d probably get service, but why give our business to them sitting at the bar when we’ve been served ⁰⁄₂ times in their restaurant? Such a disappointment.

It’s a bar with dinner service. I called it a Ruby Tuesday’s that doesn’t know what to do with its life previously. First time here as a plus one for a wedding after party and doubt I’ll ever come here again. Lights are too low for a restaurant, dance music without a floor that gets progressively loader, nothing central to look at except a couple tvs playing the same stations. The pretzel spears are awesome.

Wednesdays have good deals on food and drink. Lots of big screens and lively atmosphere. Food is pretty good. I got the lettuce wraps with chicken. It’s possible to eat some healthy things as in, what or a few salad choices. Nice outside bar at this one as well. Of course, I live in Ohio so it can’t be used year round.

Great food and drinks for the price. Burgers are great here especially for a dollar on Tuesdays and the drinks are also good and not very expensive. One of the better bars in the area.

The mixed drinks are awful. I got a long island iced tea and it tasted like there was no alcohol in it. Is that even possible?! Never again.

So I love their cocktails, I usually come here for cocktails and appetizers. Tonight I came here for dinner and drinks. It’s a Wednesday night and sounds like I should be in a Saturday club. The music is so loud and it’s a Wednesday night. The cocktails are amazing as always. Our waitress is sweet as ever. My dish however is way below acceptable. I order the sesame seared ahi tuna med-​rare. The sautéed season veggies came out barely warm and I asked for some warmer veggies and the sweet waitress changed it out. Unfortunately the next time it came out from the kitchen the veggies were iced cold. I hope the chefs even though it’s busy know that quality always matters. The wait staff is fantastic but the cooks don’t seem to care as much. Overall the cocktail and wait staff was great. Tuna and rice pilaf was great, but my favorite part is usually veggies and it was not so great.

Bar Louie had good customer service, nice drinks and okay food. The servers usually seem over worked but do a good job. There is a decent selection of drinks and good deals during happy hour (4pm-​7pm). If you sign up for their newsletter you receive a free appetizer. However, their food always makes me sick.

Me and my wife stopped in here for the first time yesterday, it was our first time here mind you and we were not properly greeted when we came in, and when the waitress by the name of Tori came to our table and asked what will we be having? First and foremost she did not introduce herself I had to ask whats your name she replied we are not require to introduce ourself well I thought that was odd because most restaurant servers will greet you and say Hi my name is and then ask how may i help you, well long story short she came off very rude and I will never eat here. It’s sad that when you come to a place to enjoy a nice time and the server comes off as if she is better than the people coming into the establishment.

My friends and I went to lunch, it was very slow and the service was terrible!! the food was good but very over priced. Wine is 8 a glass so beware, the deal was beer 1.25 on Wednesday. I wouldn’t go back but if you go bring your wallet and be prepared to wait! Another thing is clean the dust off the tvs hanging above the tables!!! Gross!!!

I love this place. I highly recommend the Dirty Martini, The Pineapple Express, and the Mac and Cheese. The Burgers here are amazing and so was the service. The bartender with the shaved head is rad.

I always enjoy my time here! Drinks are phenomenal (esp the Dirty Martinis!)… Service goes beyond the ordinary… They truly serve to impress… Staff luvs their patrons! And the food is yummilicious… 2 thumbs up … Extraordinary!

The happy hour prices are fair. The service at the bar was great. Fast and attentive. The facilities are well kept and the outside lounge looks awesome. Busy. But it was nice out. So it’s expected. The food that I had (BLTT) was ok. Not much flavor.

This place nose-​dived into a pile of crap. I like their happy hour & my son loves $ 1 burger on Tuesdays. Unfortunately, we don’t eat here like we used to since the food is terrible and the service is extremely slow. Not worth the wait for food, but I do like their drinks :)

Food was good, service was quick. I, as a former server, was impressed. If you’re lucky enough to sit in Kate’s section, you’ll be well taken care of.

Like the food, crowd seems to be getting younger and younger throughout the years. Five years ago the customer base seemed more established, now it has become a party house. Hopefully they open another teen bar down the street so Louie can be restored back to its original condition.

Food is way over priced, the mixed drinks are TERRIBLE! if they are any type of «busy» food will take forever to come out also. We have given this place SEVERAL attempts (for dollar burger Tuesdays, etc); and they still have never been impressive :/​
But the fries are really good if they’re fresh; they have good seasoning and some lime juice flavor :) yum.
Thus we will continue to go just knowing we have to deal with the slow service and never ordering mixed drinks: P
The waitresses are normally not that friendly either, except we did have one that was good, don’t remember her name :(
The one guy waiter (short Asian, sorry for the politically incorrect description) is actually great though :)

The only reason that I eat here is because the restaurant is directly across from the movie theater. My feelings on Bar Louie are apathetic. They have okay food at an okay price with okay service and okay drinks. At night it becomes an attraction for 21yr olds with the noise volume of a dance club. I’m so apathetic about this place that I can’t think of anything else to type.

If you’re looking for a chain with standard fair, this place is for you, but don’t expect much else. Located in the Greene, Bar Louie is more bar than a restaurant. There beer selection isn’t great, and what they do have is pricey. They have a lot of specials to get you in the door where the prices are better, but still not great. The food is just ok, and the service tends to be slow or nonexistent once your food arrives. Save your self some money and go find a good local place on Unilocal

I think this place is pretty darn good. Staff is friendly. Service is great. Food is tasty. The price is right. I also enjoy the atmosphere too. Dinner on the patio during the summer is great. They have a wonderful drink menu too. The fire pit in the spring and fall is great. It is a wonderful happy hour spot with the bonus of having great food. When at the Greene this is a definite stop on our list.

We only went to experience the fantastic time that is dollar night. When we arrived there was no hostess at the front and no staff to be seen anywhere. To be fair, the place was absolutely packed, but we did wait around for a good five minutes before anyone showed up. We came back after our movie and the crowd was a good reminder that I’m 26. Clearly too old to be out on a Wednesday among the youngins. The post-​industrial-​modern vibe is very out of sync with the crowd.
I am no fun.
If you’re under 25, a frat bro, or have a fake ID, you probably will not mind Bar Louie.
Perhaps I will return on a different night, though there wasn’t much encouraging me to come back.
