I used to go to the Barrows Road every Saturday morning. After complaining about a burned cup of coffee and getting no apology nor free drink offer(next ones on us) I will not be going back. Also they charge for water cups. C’mon!

Come here to do homework, great sandwiches and desert. Coffee is excellent. A little noisy but I just bring headphones when I do homework and everything is great

Say yes to a 24hr coffee house with good pastures and sweets! They have amazing coffee and latte selection for you early birds and night owls. I make sure that I try something different every time I go here. It can get crowded during early evening of a weekend. They used to have performance artist for weekends. I’m not sure now. I’ve only been there after the world starts to snore. I like the place after 1am. It’s calm and quiet. On early fall it’s good to lounge by their outdoor fireplace. Feeling the cold and crisp breeze on your skin without a jacket while sipping a Mexican hot chocolate. The surroundings are pretty kept well. There’s barely any trash or bums that are loitering the area. It feels safe. I feel safe. If you want to study and have Internet connection at the same time, this is a good place to sit and focus on your tasks. I’ve seen a lot of people doing it. And I would assume that there are ample electrical outlets for your wires. When I feel that I’m on a slump, I normally go here to a quick pick me up slice of cake. Rarely pastries, but they are equally delectable. You should try it for yourself.

Okay I’ll start with the 3 good things about this place: they’re open 24 hours, the place looks nice, and their desserts are really quite good. There are better desserts around for sure, but they’re good. Their coffee, however, is terrible. It’s always got a burnt flavor to it. We wanted SOMUCH to like this place, but the service they provide is just awful. They clearly have run out of give a damn, and we have given up trying to like Ava. If you want a great cup of coffee and a good pastry, you can join us at Jim and Patty’s.

This is literally my favorite place in all of Beaverton. I love that it’s(the only?) 24-hour coffee joint in the Beaverton area. Their drinks are decent and their desserts are really good. I would recommend the Raspberry Ganache cake. I think it’s a great atmosphere for getting work/studying done. Two things you should be aware of: 1) the outlets are few and they are so old that its hard to keep a charger plugged in(try to have your laptop fully charged before you get here) 2) there are only two parking slots at Ava. I think they’re both 15-min only parking. If it’s evening/late you can park at the bank across the street. You can also do street parking, which there is plenty of!

Have you been looking for a place where you can study and hang out with your friends at MIDNIGHT? Looking no further and stop right here. Ava has been in this location longer than 3 years(my first coffee was 3 years ago) and they have never disappointed me. Pros: Good coffee flavors, as a person who always drink mocha I would say that they have very good white/black mocha. Good location(it is surrounded by tons of good restaurants), GOODDESSERTS as well. Their cakes and muffins are always fresh and tasty. Very nice and relaxing view to help the people who want to study staying focus. Cons: Little spots of parking(street parking), not good Italian sodas and non-smoking inside. Overall: I like Ava a lot and I think you guys might have good experiences when you give them a shot also.

Pros – Open 24 hours – Plenty of space – Free wi-fi – Decent coffee – Reasonable prices – Friendly staff Cons – Terrible music pumped inside and out. Loud, pervasive, obnoxious. – Smokers form perimeter of carcinogens and yellow teethed horse laughs around exterior, meaning you can’t enjoy a nice summer night unless you like sucking fumes. They have a never-enforced ban on smoking until after 10. They should just ban it outright. Won’t hurt their business at all. Might boost it. – Doors open and close slowly, thus allowing brutal drafts of cold air to assault anyone not sitting in the deepest recesses of the establishment – Homeless people constantly doing personal hygiene in the rest rooms – Pastries are mediocre – Attracts groups of teens This place could be a paradise. It ain’t.

If i want a sweet treat at midnight, this is an answer for me. They are close to my house, at night the place is a good study hall, if your exam is coming and you’re like me. Can’t stay home to study otherwise I will ended up on my comfy bed. They also have a good sandwich… but sometimes the place is crazy busy… too much noise…

Ordered a doppio and the barista responded«one shot?» With a puzzled look, I held up two fingers. He continued, «what size?» I chuckled, «two shots in a cup». Shots were wet and dirty. I laughed so two stars. Not going back.

This one of my favorite local coffee shops, however its not for the coffee. Its for the convenience especially when I really need to get some work done. They are open 24/hours a day and free wifi. Usually there is seating available and the service is pretty good. They also have a wide variety of drinks and snacks which is why I think they at least deserve 3 – 4 stars. The only things I dont really like: *The coffee is expensive, I believe it’s around $ 6 a cup(holy f) *Tuesday’s evenings there are like hundred of motorcycles that show up there(assume it’s a meet up, but nowhere to sit) *Find out when school’s have midterms and finals because this place gets swarmed with students.

Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too expensive for coffee… $ 6.25 for an iced coffee? A medium size at that. I would say the drink itself was actually tasty, but man, most expensive coffee I’ve ever purchased, I’ve had it cheaper in Vegas… And Vegas EVERYTHING is expensive, you fart there and it’s $ 10. But back to this coffee joint. The location is decent, there’s veryyy limited parking. They have a gorgeous outdoor patio. The gals working seemed like very book smart, type ladies and they seemed to almost look down on you and talk down to you a little, like they knew they were too good to be working at a coffee shop and they hate their life right now cause they have sooo much school and school work and not enough time. So to get to the point, service was just OK. But this little joint is 24 hours now, and they have free wifi. So if you need to get work done and want coffee or tea while you do it, this is the joint for you.

It is always busy when I come, which is good. The pastries are delicious, I would like to have a place to park though at the canyon location. The one off of barnes is really nice, the service is a bit slow, but the staff are very nice. The coffee is pretty bad honestly in my opinion, too much milk, not strong enough and watered down.

Great coffee and sandwiches. Clean and nice atmosphere. I had a turkey and cheddar sandwich on a ciabatta that was very good. I would come here again.

We stopped at Ava after our dinner for dessert and coffee. The Ava Chocolate Cake was exceptional with it’s pastel rose petals and rich chocolate taste. My daughter enjoyed her Espresso Ganache as well. She had the Iced Spanish Latte and said she liked it, but said my Lavender Latte was better. I agree. Lavender Latte was perfection. The music was loud(i liked it) and the place was hopping on a Saturday night. I have been to Ava for several past occasions for pre dinner coffee, meetup groups, etcetera. The place is open 24/7, and feels different with each visit. I would say it would have been perfect if we had been there for one of their live music nights.

Much like I measure a man by his car, I measure a coffee place by its chai latte(both of which lack any logic). And sadly, after two tries of the hot and cold variety of Ava’s chai, I’m disappointed. It lacks oomph, tastes watered down, and is just not that good. I would actually rank it below Starbucks. Le sad. Le sigh. I work down the street from this place, so I will continue experimenting. I love coffee but don’t drink it too often these days, I’ll report back once I’ve given it a shot(PUNALERTDIDYOUCATCHTHAT). They have wifi, plenty of seating indoors and some lovely spots in the sun or shaded outside. The baristas seem generally friendly but not serious about what they’re doing. Which, frankly, is kind of refreshing.

A little on the pricey side for a sandwich, but regardless it was delicious. I got the veggie without cheese and they were nice enough to put extra veggies free of charge. I got a chai and it was average but a nice beverage for a cool day. They provided my pup a little cup of whip cream as a sweet courtesy. It’s the little extras that make something special. The outdoor seating area is BEAUTIFUL. A great place to set up and do homework. They have free wi-fi. One last thing, they’re bread is delicious. If you don’t get a sandwich, at least get some bread or a pastry. It’s worth it

Having a coffee house option is just an excellent addition to the highly residential area. I love that there is fast Wifi here, pretty fast on the 5 Ghz with 2.13 mbps download and 3.41mbps upload. Great for those who work from home and want to change the scene. The drip coffee is a little water down. The SPANISHCREAMLATTE is delicious with a nice aroma of coffee liquor(according to the barista) but I think its just coffee syrup to increase the coffee flavor. The SERVICE was not the best. The female barista that helped up obviously was not very engaged and didn’t really want to be there. First when I order«for here» she gave me a paper cup. I had to ask for a ceramic cup. My bf had brought his own cup and there was left over coffee and she didn’t bother pouring that out and rinsing it. I asked but she didn’t hear. I just gave up. My latte was good, but done sloppy. No rosetta on the cream and was not even a full cup. SPACE was great, lots of natural lights from the floor to ceiling windows and you can see the beautiful rain. There are plenty of seats and outdoor seating as well.

Nothing wrong here but nothing out of the ordinary. Your typical coffee shop in the suburbs. My husband had a breakfast sandwich which tasted fine, but nothing spectacular about it.
