I normally LOVE this place but to I tried a new blended drink with pretzels in it. So horrible I did not finish it. They didn’t know how to make it possibly as they were discussing how to make it. So, my review is only bad concerning the new drink, get the Carmel Blondie instead it’s fabulous.

Probably my favorite coffee stand Oregon has to offer. Not too sweet and not too bitter. My favorite drink of theirs is the Blackout which is a Hazelnut Mocha… So delicious!

The best of the coffee huts. No contest. Tastes like coffee should, best quality and best flavors.

My friend likes the coffee here. So drove me up. How can I resist? Ordered the Fuel that has the six shots. Still waiting on the caffeine response. At first I was concerned it would be too strong for me, but flavors were mild and it wasn’t bitter with the Irish liquor. Young workers like the Dutch Brothers, bit of line today but friendly and happy service. Next time I’ll try the Carmel Blondie since that seems pretty popular :)

A great coffee place. The person running the cash register seemed a bit spacy, forgot to charge for all our drinks, and after that seemed to forget the order, but they were very nice and the barista knew what was going on. Kind service, well made and quick beverages, it’s about all I need.

I’m visiting OR, so I tried black rock today for the first time. My mom wanted to take me because she’s a regular. I was surprised that they only do Americano, but I liked the simplicity of the menu. I got a decaf and it was very tasty. The location is convenient for us to boot. Service was just OK.

My new favorite place to grab a coffee… I don’t know why I waited so long to try black rock, I always drive by and decided one day to stop. Probably one of the best decisions I made. I usually base my drink choice off of reviews left by other customers. The caramel blondie seemed like it for the most must haves from other people. Now I see why it’s raved about, it’s like drinking a blondie in liquid form. The espresso was smooth and had a good flavor to it. The staff was very friendly and told us there favorite drinks and some of the different modified drinks. It’s always nice to drive up to a place that offers great customer service and people who smile. I have visited two different locations so far and have had the same experience. Make sure you get a punch card so you can earn a free drink. They also have an app you can download.

I don’t know what it is, but these guys make the best almond milk latte I’ve ever had. The service is always friendly and fast. I don’t stop by often but when I do I’m never disappointed!

2:00pm caffeine craving hit. I drive past this little stand on my way to work every morning. There is normally a line at the drive thru and window. Being that it was a Sunday I figured no line and it was worth checking out. I’m glad I did!!! Starbucks what!!! Mind you I drink Starbucks often, but this place has got Starbucks beat! I got the blended blackout, less sweet, and my dog got a treat from the lady at the window he was happy about that! Overall yum yum! The drink was blended perfectly, creamy with no ice chunks. Strong coffee taste and not to sweet. I’d like to get it again before work but… that line… Mmmmmm. Also upon reading other reviews seems like I should have grabbed a punch card. aww sadness. I hope I remember next time.

Black Rock is my absolute favorite coffee spot! Their drinks taste exactly as it should. like coffee. I’ve tried most everything on the menu and I’ve never been disappointed. Service is always great. This location is one of the busiest but the staff is quick and efficient during rush hour. Don’t forget your stamp card! After your 10th stamp, you’ll receive a free drink! Their seasonal drinks are delicious as well.

Hands down the best coffee drive-thru around. Every drink I’ve tried has been delicious(and made by a barista who actually cares and knows what he/she is doing!). I’m an avid tea drinker and an occasional coffee drinker, so I’ve tried just about everything! I love that they have almond milk and coconut milk! And I really love how happy, polite, personable and upbeat ALL of their employees are! I will always be a supporter of Blackrock! (But it is time for them to sell mugs and cups to frequent customers, right?! I mean, let’s not fill up landfills with our Blackrock coffee and tea habits!)

Fast and friendly service. Just an interaction with these folks give you a jolt before you even get your coffee. My favorite is the jackhammer. You’ll taste the coffee first and everything else is secondary unlike a lot of coffee places. Conveniently located right next to the Nike campus and even though we get SBUX on campus I prefer to go here.

A pretty friendly bunch of employees, whom take the time to smile and greet despite the constant stream of drive through customers. They have a punch card which is kinda retro these days. They offer dairy alternatives too! On the down side there is no outdoor seating nor shade so it feels like they prefer drivers to walkers. Too bad. They also don’t have much food to offer. Just a prepackaged muffin??? Gross!

Love love love our Black Rock coffee! The hubs and I are mocha drinkers and they know how to do ‘em right! We are such regular customers that the crew at this location always has our drink ready to hand to us when we get to the front of the line. All the employees are always cheerful and friendly. I love that they offer a doggy treat when they see your pup in the car with you. In fact, the dog looks forward to our(nearly) daily visits to BR as much as we do! The only reason for withholding that fifth star in this review is because the mocha strength and sweetness is occasionally inconsistent, depending on the barista making it — but it still beats corporate coffee any day of the week! We are loyal customers and will continue to spread the word about how much your coffee and service totally rocks! Thanks guys!

I really used to love this place. The staff is very friendly and always greets you with a smile. Wait times can be long even if there’s no line. Not sure how but I’ve repeatedly spent several minutes just waiting at the window while my drink is made. Lately the wait times are getting longer. The worst part is that not once in the last dozen times I’ve been here have I gotten a decent cup of joe. The espresso is always burnt. There’s a skunk to it. I can go to Starbucks down the street and get not skunky espresso for the same price. The option for whipped cream is never offered anymore, and when I’ve asked I’ve had a 50⁄50 chance of actually getting it. Disappointed in the degrading standards of an old favorite.

Conveniently located near Nike campus. Friendly upbeat employees(same as all the BR location) they are fast and efficient. I’ve never had a bad coffee or bad service here! They have a walk-up window for pedestrians, which is great. It’s completely separate from the car drive-thru. It would be nice if the 82nd/Powell location had one. The only thing that I dislike about this location is that they share an entrance drive-thru with Subway(which is weird, how many Subways have drive-thru windows???)

First off… I drink chai. NOT coffee. So I can’t rate their main menu item. I HATE giving my money to Starbucks… so I decided to try Black Rock chai, since they seem to always have a line in the drive thru. I was happy that the price was .65 less than Stbx. However, as it turned out, I could have made the EXACT same thing at home for that .65. I steamed my own chai for years using various concentrates that I bought at Cash and Carry… Oregon Chai being one of them. Which is exactly what they use at Black Rock. Unfortunately, this is a bland concentrate. It doesn’t have any of the spice you should get. Looks like I will continue to feed the Starbucks Monster… sigh…

This is my favorite, closest to my house, drive up crack. er sorry, COFFEE place. I am an addict. How do we know this? I have multiple punchcards in my wallet, and I get free ones. Often. Totally yummy half sweet mochas and soy vanilla lattes. With lots of caffeine. I’m also a pusher. I take coffee to my various peeps, often. My friend likes the nonfat hazelnut latte, iced. My kid likes various«chillers», Italian sodas, and stolen swigs of our coffee when we leave them unguarded. Uh oh. Fraid I’m a poor role model, I have coffee issues. Anyway, I like their granola bar, too. The folks are fun, fast, friendly… great stuff.

Can’t say enough about this location or the company. We go there at least 5 times a week. They always know our order(yes we are predicable) however if I want something different they have no problem making it for me even if they already made my drink. For me the Jack Hammer has got to be the best drink around. I am not a fan of coffee drinks where you can not taste coffee. I want to taste coffee and they do it perfect every single time. The whole gang there is fun and makes our morning every day. We drive out of our way to go here and it is worth it. Support your local coffee shops, just so NO to the Big Green S guys!
