They are in the process of finding a new location. I’ve come here since they took it over from the previous owner. I can’t speak much on the baked goods, I did not get them that often. When I did, they were pretty good; nothing too special. I came mainly because it’s(was) the closest location for Longbottom Coffee. For a time, I also got their breakfast sandwiches, but the meat quality was only so-so. The staff is mostly friendly. They are courteous and patient, although they don’t shoot the breeze with regulars much. I went here about twice a week since they took over because I wanted to see a small coffee shop/bakery do well. Unfortunately, one of the great things about small businesses – that they treat their regulars with a little extra gravy – is missing from this place. There’s a restaurant just around the corner I go to regularly where they know what I’m having to drink and eat right when I walk in, and give more chicken and veggies. Here they don’t do that, and it’s pretty disappointing. As for the space itself, it’s pretty much irrelevant now that they’re moving, but it seemed like it didn’t know what it wanted to be; a coffee shop or a bakery. I watched a lot of people enter the store, browse around, say nothing, then leave. I don’t think the location was great for the business, bluntly put there are a lot of old rich people that are snooty and demanding in the area. I hope wherever they move to they do well, but if they read this I hope they take heed of paying more attention to their regulars and treat them a little better. Word of mouth is incredibly important with small businesses, and that starts with creating regulars and keeping them so they bring more business.

The coffee was very good, as were the breakfast sandwiches. Staff was friendly. Will go back and try a few more items!

I didn’t care for this place when it was Beaverton Bakery and I still think it’;s a rip off. $ 2.50 for a stale cookie and half the racks are empty.

We checked their website to make sure that the bakery was open on Sunday. Apparently, they do not keep their website up-to-date. Contrary to the site, the bakery is closed on Sunday. Wasted gas and then had to find another place for our meeting. Very disappointed.

Good place to pick up something for your sweet tooth. Seemed a little empty in there but tried their coffee, vanilla cupcake, and a couple of cookies this morning. Yum! We’ll be back!

We noticed the change in ownership/name and that’s when I knew it was time to check this place out. We were glad we did! Awesome cupcakes –reasonable and freshly baked! We couldn’t decide which ones to try first and just bought a variety pack of 6! All of them were delicious! Will be back to try more!!!

Maybe I hit them on a bad day, but the pastry display was fairly empty and it wasn’t even noon. I tried a peanut butter chocolate cake square for $ 2.50. It was dry and rather tasteless, and seemed like it was a bit stale. Oddly, the place smelled like a dental office(disinfectant smell). When I asked why, she said there was a dentist upstairs. For me, part of the bakery experience is smelling fresh-baked goods. All in all, not a great experience, although others had different reactions to the place.

Love the new ownership! Fresh/house-made desserts and breads now. What an improvement :) Glad they are still carrying the organic Nicaraguan coffee— this is my all-time fave. Avoid the Starbucks in the Safeway next to it, and treat yourself to some local hospitality.

The place itself was fairly empty, very quaint and the woman behind the counter was friendly. I got a chocolate-coconut cupcake and asked the woman for a recommendation to which she suggested the Baklava. Baklava, being my favorite dessert, was then added to my cupcake. The cupcake was perfect, moist, not too big, beautiful. I usually don’t like cupcakes and I loved it. The baklava was soggy though, and tasted slightly burnt. IT didn’t look burnt but there might have been a layer that was burnt and maybe taken off. Overall I liked it and I’ll probably come back to try more goodies. :)

I was sitting in my car getting ready to go into the Papa Murphy’s when I noticed that this bakery had changed hands again! This time for the better. After years of being an outpost of Beaverton Bakery, a new place came in and shut so fast that I can’t even recall the name. I do recall that their bakery goods were super stale. Not so with the newest inhabitant of the space, aptly named, Dolce Bakery & Café who’ve given the place a simple yet appealing makeover. They have way cheaper prices than the previous bakeries(yeah!) and they make wishes come true. How do I know that? Right before I went inside I said to my companion, «Gee, I wish they would have some gluten free desserts» and WAHLAH — they did! And they weren’t priced like they were gold freaking bars — the nice sized perfectly baked chocolate flecked cookie was only $ 2.00! What? I didn’t get hosed down cause I don’t hang with wheat? Sweet!!! I love this place already and I hadn’t even taken a dang bite. The young lady working the counter was friendly and took the time to explain that they now bake everything on premise which keeps things both fresh and affordable. Oh, and the cookie tasted phenomenal. I will be back.
