Eubanks Joshua, DMD

Dr Eubanks is the best dentist we have ever seen — ever — hands down. I’d had several awful dental experiences before coming here for the first time and as a result I’d put off coming in for dental exams or cleanings for quite a few years before we became patients here about 6 years ago.
Dr. Eubanks’ office is different. Everyone in the office is friendly and fabulous to work with. Nobody talked down to me or scolded me for not flossing enough, or putting off my dental visits for too long, etc. He has a friendly, easy to understand approach that even puts our 5 year old (who has a tendency to be skiddish around new doctors or dentists he doesn’t know) at ease. All the hygienists we’ve seen are easy going with a great sense of humor.
The office is newly renovated and comfortable. The back of the office even has a convenient parent/​sibling waiting area with books and toys adjacent to the treatment rooms which allow you to be nearby if your kid is being treated without hovering.
We’ve moved much further away recently but still make the 35 minute drive past many other dentist offices to come here because there is no other place like it!

I moved out of town years ago so I hadn’t seen Dr. Eubanks in a long time. I was in town last week on vacation and I had a tooth giving me trouble. A month ago I had a filling replaced and my regular dentist in LA found a hidden cavity and some cracks. His replacement filling was insufficient and I was back in two weeks later to get it fixed again. That was 10 days before I got to Portland. By the time I decided it was an emergency, I was up to 20 ibuprofen a day because of the pain.
Dr. Eubanks used several techniques to diagnose the source of the pain, and replaced my other dentist’s filling with a new one. And I was off pain killers that night. It is now a week later and Dr. Eubanks first attempt was better than my dentist’s two tries to fix the problem. He always had a great chair-​side demeanor and is occasionally too funny for having tools in your mouth. I am not surprised to discover that he has become an amazingly skilled dentist.

Well, I can only start out by saying you will want to thank me for this recommendation. I have been seeing Dr. Eubanks for 12 – 13 years and I have sent my brother and my husband to him and they both agreed with my assessment, one of the best. We have had it all, root canals, caps, cleanings cavities fixed, there isn’t a more caring dentist around. If my kids were young, I would want their first experience to be with him!

It’s not often I think about reviewing a dentist, but Josh (Joshua Eubanks) is AMAZING. The office is nice, modern, and well kept. The equipment is up to date and clean. Josh and his wife are not only amazing dentists, but amazing people. I have been to this office twice, and they’ve made a life-​long patient out of me. Josh and his wife are genuinely concerned with patient concerns and issues, and will take as much time as necessary to explain problems, options, and what they feel is the best route to go. Josh is more personable than I have ever felt about a dentist, explains things in a manner that is easy to understand, and has an upbeat. The entire staff is great.

Okay, not going to lie. I havent been to the dentist is a few years. I love my teeth, but really hate going to the dentist. Im getting all nervous just typing out this review.
I went in today for an exam/​cleaning and i had a really good experience. Im sooo happy i chose to come to Dr. Eubanks. He was super friendly, i did not have to wait long for my actual appointment to begin and he took the time to explain everything that will need to be taken care of. I will be going back for all the FUN dental work to be done.
I also have nothing but great things to say about the hygenist, Debra. She was so friendly and talked to me throughout the entire cleaning. It was hard to reply as there were tools all up inside mouth but we had a great conversation and before i knew it, i was done! haha.
I agree with the other reviewer that the front office lady, Deanna was helpful in providing estimated costs and insurance info. She knew her stuff, which is impressive these days.
I chose to go with an early appointment, so i dont know how the parking situation is in the afternoon, but this office shares the parking lot with Safeway and few other shops, so im guessing it could get busy.

Let’s set the record straight, I take FOREVER to get numb and therefore have rarely had a pleasant experience at the dentist. I don’t think anyone really enjoys going to the dentist (sorry Dr. Eubanks and Dr. Nguyen) but if you have to go (and we all do). This is a good place to be. In the past most dentist have just given up and given me nitrous, which while effective it’s also very expensive and often not covered by insurance. However, the team here is super customer oriented and friendly. Both Dr. Eubanks and Dr. Nguyen are super patient and take the time to make sure I’m numb. And Deanna in the office is always really good about calling you if a spot opens up in thier schedule, following up on appointments and getting you insurance estimates. They make going to the dentist just about asbearable as it can be (that’s higher praise than it sounds like)!
