Hilton Garden Inn Portland/Beaverton

Stayed here while I was in town for work. I would gladly stay again. Everyone from the check in receptionist to the lovely ladies preparing the breakfast each morning were outstanding.
The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Not much more you can ask for. The gym is very small with a few treadmills and such. Gets the job done if you just want to work up your heart, but it’s nothing fancy.
Pleasant stay from start to finish.

These people have a rat infestation. We were checking out of our hotel at 6am and heard unprofessional screaming coming out of the kitchen area where they serve breakfast. Staff in the back were screaming «omg mouse!». Thought it was very unprofessional and disgusting. Would not stay here or eat here again. Terrible. Place smelled kind of weird too. They accused us of smoking in our room and charged us $ 150.00 when we didn’t. Scammer hotel.

end it showed up as a still valid reservation, they were able to confirm it, and we had prepaid for the rooms– the front desk guy went and got us the rooms and upgraded it to a King parlor suite.

This is hands down the best Hilton I’ve ever visited.
The staff was exceptionally warm and friendly, even giving us a gift bag upon our arrival. The facility is very well kept, and the lobby has a cozy feel to it, complete with a fireplace.
They also have free wi-​fi with a no-​hassle sign-​in. We all know how awesome that is.
It may sound trite, but I was a huge fan of the hot apple cider offered around the clock, as most places only have coffee! (They had coffee and cookies as well.) This hotel is an oasis just outside the city, a comfortable retreat for any trip.

This hotel is extremely nice and at a good price. I spent the last 6 days here and was very happy with the staff and especially kitchen staff. There is a buffet in the morning which they will also cook you an omelet to you’re liking. The rooms are very clean and very large, probably some of the largest without getting into a larger suite. The cleaning crew do a fantastic job and never missed a thing. The lobby area is large for big gatherings and the bar if stocked pretty well. They also have a patio area for lounging which is nice on the cool Portland nights. The fireplace was a really nice touch. The outside is very well kept and it’s right next to a 24 hour fitness of you don’t fancy the in house gym. I really enjoyed myself here and will come back to stay here for sure.

I guess I came during a good time as it seemed like they had finish remodeling. For what we paid for, this was a really nice place. The lobby is open and modern and the bedrooms were pretty standard — nothing to complain about. They had all the necessities: comfy bed, clean bathroom and AC/​heat.
This hotel is only a couple miles from the airport, and pretty far from downtown, BUT they have an AWESOME free shuttle service which definitely drove the stars up. When you’re at the hotel, they can call a shuttle to take you to the airport which is right next to Portland’s trolley system, which you can easily take to downtown. And then on your way back, you call the hotel and tell them you’re at the airport and they will send a shuttle to pick you up! If you’re willing to spend time on the trolley (only $ 5 for a day pass per a day!), you save a lot on car rental!
Overall, it’s a decent hotel to stay at, free shuttle, and a great staff! I would recommend!

Decent job but most days ran out of at least two items. One cook if restaurant empty one cook when every table was filled. You would think they how many people are in hotel and plan accordingly

Clean, good location. Nice indoor pool. We were supposed to get a room with a jetted tub but it never happened. Restaurant onsite with strange hours and room service hours are very limited. Not many options for restaurants nearby. Overall hotel was good and reasonably priced.

Clean and efficient access to Portland.
Decided to step it up from the usual budget motel on a January roadtrip to Portland. Good call! Renovations described in earlier reviews are complete, and the result is a smart and chic lobby that sets up a similarly designed hotel. Free and good coffee is available all day, as is an interesting (because it smells a bit of coffee) spiced apple cider.
Free wireless access in double rooms worked fast enough; while we didn’t try streaming video or anything, speed was just fine for running the usual suspects. Beds are clean and comfortable, and rooms smell of … well, nothing!
Overall, a smart choice just 15 or so minutes from Downtown Portland.

I was very impressed with this Hilton Garden Inn and how close it was to so many places. Infact, it shares a parking lot with a 24HR Fitness which is great since the Hilton’s gym is limited.
Apparently this location was recently renovated. It features a nice bar area and their breakfast is outstanding — however a bit on the pricey side.
Overall, a good location.

Gen. MGR= #bad (wifi) —- satellite router here. la same issues %%%%% continued?! To qa: But your competitors?! Needs GRAPHIC menus of #atm charts upon entering. Not enchanted. Close by = better options, but lesser qA.

If you are planning to stay here, beware major lobby /​lounge /​breakfast room remodel in mid April 2013! We arrived with guests in tow who were staying here for the first time on our recommendation to find the entire lobby area gutted and the front desk staff ensconced behind a plastic tarp to protect them and their computer equipment from the debris. The air was heavy with construction dust and a construction crew was removing all tile from the floors and helpfully moving debris aside as guests, like us, arrived to allow people and wheeled luggage to pass through.
My heartburn over this is the Hilton reservation page was not flagged with a construction alert and yet they had plenty of time to plan for this so their guests could know. Enough time to plan so they could, for example, have in guest rooms a novelty weight yellow construction hat with the following contents inside: pink cotton candy, a bubblegum measuring tape and a wrench made of milk chocolate. Maybe they think that is «too cute». But at the rate for the rooms, absent an apology letter and feeling «had» at check in to not have been advised when I made my reservations a couple of weeks ago of the major construction scheduled, I thought the room trinkets were ridiculous.
«Oh no they didn’t» was my thought. Sadly, yes they did.
We were wrong to think it couldn’t get worse when we went up the elevator to our rooms about 4pm. Because when we came down to the lobby ninety minutes later to go to dinner, the elevator door opened to literally a cloud of construction dust. We weren’t the only perturbed guests, from the look on faces and the sound of other conversations. As one of our elevator buddies said, he traveling on business and like us completely surprised by the construction chaos, he was trying to be good humored about it for the couple of days he’d been there, but the rooms are not inexpensive and he felt he was owed the courtesy as a customer to be given the construction heads up so he could have selected a different hotel.
Which is, of course, the reason someone in the Hilton management chain made the very bad decision not to post a construction alert. To prevent customers from staying elsewhere. But as a Hilton Honors member who tends to be willing to cut the chain a lot of slack, this left even me verklempt.
My advice; if you’re planning to stay here in the near future, call the front desk directly and ask specifically how long this construction will continue. And until the lobby is completely back together, stay elsewhere.
I’m still trying to decide if I want to let them know where they can put the yellow plastic hard hat and cotton candy and chocolate wrench. I’ll admit, I chewed the bubblegum. It was only slightly better than the nails I felt like chewing,
We’ve had good experiences here in the past. So we’ll take that into account in providing 2 stars instead of 1 star. Plus, the staff here is always friendly and were trying particularly hard to be pleasant in the wake of pretty unhappy guests today. So they deserve a pat on the back and that earns the extra star too.

Stayed here last week during a business trip. I’m normally not a fan of smaller hotels but WOW this one impressed me quite a bit! I’m giving it 5 stars mostly because of the outstanding customer service & spacious rooms. Stayed in a king bed standard room and for just me that’s a lot of space! The rooms had adjustable beds, microwave, fridge, a couch, and desk. I couldn’t tell if there was anyone else staying on my floor because it was so quite!
Plenty of parking, friendly staff both at the front desk and in their lobby restaurant, great amenities. Was only slightly disappointed at the size of their gym (it’s super tiny and I’m used to going to the gym quite often & needed more equipment), but liked that they had a pool, 24 hour business center & free Wi-​Fi throughout. There’s all-​you-​can-​eat breakfast every morning for only $ 10.95 per person and that’s quite a steal! Took advantage of the room service my last night there and food was delicious and server was great! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Came here after a nasty hotel experience across the way and the gals here were AMAZING. They were super friendly and helpful and even called up to ensure everything was to our liking after we got settled in. I will definitly return here if heading to the area.

Now that there’s a new addition to the family, my niece’s guest room has become a baby’s room, and unless we want to sleep in the den on an Aero-bed…so glad we found the Hilton Garden Inn! Stayed four nights and everything was wonderful. Big, clean room, Sleep Number bed with a comfy pillow top, lots of pillows (you know how I like that), flat screen TV, free wi-​fi, lots of electrical outlets, microwave, fridge, etc., and a great quiet location still close enough to the freeway for convenience. The bathroom was a little small but really, how much time do you spend in the bathroom in a hotel?
Our room rate came with breakfast every morning in the cute little restaurant on the first floor. Great selection of food, served buffet-​style: eggs, made-​to-​order omelettes, MOUNDS of crispy bacon, sausage, various breads, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, and one of my favorites (make yourself) Belgium waffles. The very comfortable diningroom was all glass and it felt like we were eating outside beneath the trees. Pretty landscaping and all very clean and well-​kept. Free self parking in a huge parking lot too.
Hotel staff were exemplary and offered freshly baked cookies every afternoon. Price was excellent — I’ve paid more at a Holiday Inn Express! Nothing negative to say, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I love everything about this hotel. Location, gorgeous interior, gracious lobby and lounge area that featured a small fireplace room and dining facility, comfortably spacious rooms, and beds which can be adjusted to just the right firmness you require. And lots of pillows.
Our room comes with a refrigerator, flat screen tv, free wi fi, large desk, and comfortable arm chair. And best of all, peace and quiet. They were busy, even young families and mobs of young sports teams staying here, but we never heard a peep from inside our room.
One really nice touch, the hotel was decorated with historic turn-​of-​the-​century photographs of the Beaverton area, both in the rooms and hallways. It captured my curiosity and demonstrated their pride in this area. Nice.
I love the fact that I won this gorgeous room on Priceline, bidding on a 3 star hotel, and got it for a stellar price.
