I called and left voicemails over a 2 month period because I really wanted to try this salon. When Kirsten finally returned my call, she was booked and referred me to someone else, Jennifer? I called and left yet another voicemail… and that call wasn’t returned either.

I am compelled to call out the review of Nicole C of Jessica Sappington. I’ve been going to Jessica since 2011, when I moved to Portland. I Unilocaled salons in the area and found Jet Salon. I love it here and Jessica is fantastic. She is accommodating, funny, always upbeat and really works with me and my ever changing hair style requirements. She’s creative and isn’t shy about telling me that something will or won’t work with my hair. Many of my friends now go to Jess because she always makes my tresses look fabulous! She’s the best!

I have been trying to call and schedule a hair appointment for two days now and nobody answers the phone. This is probably affecting business and should be looked into, I won’t be calling again.

I was a client of JET Salon for most of this year until my stylist left the Portland area. Both the salon and my stylist were fine; nothing fancy, and I’m pretty low-​maintenance so I don’t need a real sophisticated, high-​end experience. And given my challenges in finding a reliable and reasonably-​priced stylist in the Cedar Hills/​Beaverton area, I was content to stick with her and hope that as we got to know each other, she’d «get» my hair and what I was looking for a little better.
Alas, she recently moved away but did refer me to another stylist at JET. Similar to other reviewer’s experiences, I never got a call back from my former stylist’s co-​worker after leaving a detailed message referencing the referral. Since it took two attempts to connect initially with my former stylist, I’m moving on from JET and am once again on the hunt for a new stylist. Is returning phone calls to current and potential customers now a lost art? It seems to be happening more and more recently with all types of service providers. If you can’t or don’t want to take me on as a client, just let me know!

I’m writing a review still waiting 25 min past my appointment. I am a brand new client to Jessica and she pushed my appointment 45 min and is now 25 min late to that appointment. I’m hostage to this appointment because I must get my grey covered. Needless to say I won’t ever be coming here again. Totally unprofessional!!!

New to the area and saw JET Salon on a drive-​by as well as one of the top salons via my Google search. Stopped in to make an appointment and I was given a card of a stylist for myself and also my husband. The lady also called the stylist to let her know that I’d be contacting her for an appointment. I never received any contact back through text message or phone call from this stylist. I called the main line multiple times over the next couple months thinking I’d be able to get a hold of someone. Not one person ever returned my voicemails. Very disappointed in the customer service and have taken our business elsewhere as apparently it isn’t needed here.

I used to go to Jessica S. for my highlights, and I started running into issues where she would be late or would reschedule my appointments. It then turned into where she would double-​book with someone else, or do her mother-in-law’s hair while mine was setting. This really dragged out my appointments. In my last session with her, she had her mother-​in-​law in and quickly worked through my hair. I waited patiently but when it was my turn again and she took the foils off, I noticed the color had bled on my temples and it needed to be fixed. I had to wait for her to wash and cut her mother-in-law’s hair before she fixed mine, and sat longer while it set again. It still looked bad even after being corrected, and I had been there for 3.5 hours. Needless to say, that was my last appointment with her.
I found another stylist at a different salon who I’ve been going to for the past two years, but she moved, and now I’m on the hunt again. I decided to give Jet Salon another shot and tried to set up a highlight with Kerstin because I read good reviews about her. However, I can’t get a call back for an appointment.
I’m pretty disappointed with Jet Salon and based off my experiences, would not recommend them.

I got a full highlight and cut from Nita. The salon itself is decent, nothing fancy but nice enough. Nita gets 5 stars for personality, she was really nice and fun to talk to. 4 stars for cut. I asked for a basic cut and got what I asked for.
Unfortunately the highlight was pretty bad. Some of the highlights start about an inch from my scalp so it looks like I got my hair done a month or two ago. The highlights she did also look pretty stripy instead of looking natural. Also when I put my hair in a ponytail you can see a horizontal line across the top of my head where some of the highlights start. Plus it took her 3 hours to do what other stylist usually do in 2 hours. With that amount of time I would expect her to do a really careful job, but it looks really sloppy.

Cindy is great! She is really laid back, and she knows how to design and style hair really well. The salon environment is nice, but also very comfortable and clean. There is design and style to the salon but it is minimal, so it’s not overwhelming. I go to Cindy and get a «deva cut» so every curl is cut individually so it lays right on my head. It is a little more spend then normal haircuts, but it lasts longer, and it better for people with naturally wavy/​curly hair like me. So, it takes a little bit more time than a traditional cut, but it’s worth it! And, Cindy is really experienced with all types of hair, so she does a great job!

Kerstin Moreira has been my hairdresser for 15 years and I will never go to anyone else! She is like family and she is AMAZING with hair. She does my blonde highlights, my long or short cuts with beautiful layers, she did my gorgeous wedding hair and makeup, and she even saved my light blonde hair when I mistakenly dyed it bright red at home! She is the best.

I loved my hair cut and highlights from Kirsten! She is wonderful :) I highly recommend her. She has her own Unilocal reviews page — that’s how I found her! Kirsten at Jet Salon. I just moved here from out of state so I was relieved to find someone with good reviews online and then have them actually be good when I went in! And she’s super sweet too!

Jess is the best! I have thick curly hair and she has been the only stylist that can get the style right! As for color, I like to change my highlights according to season and she always gets the color right on. I won’t go anywhere else :)

I used to go to Jessica S. at Jet Salon for a while. In the begining she did an OK average job on my long hair, but towards the end her work and attitude were getting worse and worse with every visit.
First, she was almost always late to start working on me, even though I always came in a few minutes prior to my scheduled in a advanced appointment. Once I came in and she was doing a friend’s makeup and taking her sweet time during MY appointment. After she was done she didn’t even apologize for running late. She always behaved like she didn’t care about my hair or even her job in general.
Then last time when I went to her she completely ruined my color and cut — I ended up with very yellow highlights and terrible uneven cut that was very visible to everyone (friends and relatives confirmed it looked awfully uneven). Not to mention that Jessica does not know how to texturize and thin thick hair (meaning when you have a lot of hair).
I need to mention that my hair is super easy to highlight, it just reacts to the bleach very well, so it’s not rocket science to highlight it. Another thing — highlights that Jessica gave me last few times were also very uneven, meaning that I had pieces that had a 2″ grow-​out and pieces that looked fresh. If I were to style my hair in anyway besides just wearing it down, those terrible dark roots were very visible.
So in summary, considering how much Jessica charged me, I find the quality of her work to be simply insulting.

Reviews are kind of old here. Wish when you call someone would call you back. Tried both the main number and Kirsten. I understand they might be booked, its generally just nice to let people know other than just blowing them off. If you do manage to get called back, the cuts are good. We’ll be looking for somewhere that gets back to you even when business is good.

Kerstin is as good as it gets. She has cut my hair for a decade and I never stop getting referrals for her after people see my hair. I love that she has given me styles that are fun but require daily attention and she has also given me hair that is wash and go with no hairdryer or product. She is also a very lovely person with a lot of integrity. I suggest her strongly but good luck getting a time slot!

First of all, I like to say thanks other Unilocalers for a great reviews on Kerstin and Jet Salon. After reading your fantastic review, I called Kerstin and booked an appointment.
I met Kerstin for the first time today. I knew right off the bat we would have tons to talk about. Her personality reminds me of my own (sarcastic) which I love. As Kerstin mentioned during my time at the Salon, the gals that were there are family. The gals are fun, friendly and very outgoing.
I’ve always live close to this area and didn’t know that the salon had existed. I’ve driven past numerous times as well. I guess I didn’t really pay attention. However, I’m glad that I found it.
I gave a picture to Kerstin and that I got what I wanted. I love my hair. I am looking forward to my next appointment with her in September. Kerstin has been cutting/​styling hair for a long time to come (esp Asian hair). She is experienced, talented and has a passion for hair. I had a fantastic time today with Kerstin. There was not a silent period at all between us. We had tons of topics to discuss. Kerstin is not pushy at all in terms of trying to sell hair products. It really bothers me when salons tries to up sell a product they’ve used in your hair.
Kerstin is pretty booked, so call in advance. I can finally say that I have a hair stylist. Need a new hair stylist? Call up Jet Salon. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve been visiting the fabulous Jessica here for about a year now and she always get’s my cut right! Past salon experiences have left me with uneven bangs, mom hair and persistent a-​line.
Jessica was able to coax my hair into being adorably chic and sophisticated, I’ve gone from short, to long, to side bangs, to straight across bangs and Jessica never bats an eye, she dives right in and delivers a stellar cut time and time again. She even does feathers which I love! I got some hot pink ones put in as soon as she started and they looked awesome and never even came close to falling out.
The salon itself is clean, cute and inviting. I’ve never overheard any catty complaining conversations from the other stylists and the entire staff is happy and attentive. These girls are great, I recommend Jet to everyone!

It’s simple. I am a guy with a lot of hair curly hair. Kerstin used «Express Blow Out» on on it and now I have EXACTLY the hair I have always wanted; wash it, comb it back and go! This makes my busy life much easier. Imagine going from curly frizz to smooth and manageable in 1 visit. Really! Make an appointment.
The salon is clean, organized and everyone is fun and energetic. Kerstin has cut my hair for years. She has always listened to what I want and made it happen. Best of all is that she cuts my hair with grow-​out in mind. So, even when weeks later it still looks good.

My wedding was on May 15, 2010 and my hair looked amazing! Kerstin did a phenomenal job. She spent 3 hours working on my hair, making it look outstanding. And, she kept her original quote of $ 50. I thought that was much to low, but she insisted (I made sure to make up for it with my tip, though).
She also helped one of my friends who did her hair herself pin and spray it in place — she is so caring and goes above and beyond! I couldn’t have had a better experience!!!
